American Shorthair kittens & cats in West University Place, Texas

Kitty showed in my apartment complex about over a month and a half or two ago. She is been sweet from the beginning liking to be petted, she loves to be scratched under her chin and tummy. Having three cats of my own, one disabled and living in a 2 bedroom apartment was not an option for me, however, my neighbor fell in love with her and took her in, unfortunately he developed allergies and started to get sick. I was not going to let her go to a "non kill shelter" and my neighbor didn't want that either, we asked around and didn't get anybody interested enough to take her in, so I am temporarily fostering her, regardless of having my cats throwing a fit everyday. Kitty is very sweet and has a low meow, I thought she was younger, however, last Saturday the Vet confirmed that she is older and is around 6 or 7 years approx. She will come to you to have her petted, but doesn't stay much, she is energetic at night not allowing me to sleep much, because of my living arrangements with my other cats I had to shared my room with her, but she hasn't make any noise when left in another room. The vet told me she is not a stray, her gums are fine and healthy, has good weight, she is not pregnant, but I forgot to ask if she looked fixed, and her attitude towards people is very calm and good, not the typical for a stray cat, she is perfect like the vet said!!!! I kind of think that she might belonged to someone and for whatever reason the person let her go not too long ago. She eats and drinks normally, I have given her toys to play with, however, she doesn't play with them, but she likes to chase the red dot. She is definitely an Alpha Cat and made my other cats know as soon as I took her in hissing and getting mad, making my female alpha cat stepped aside and not even hiss at her, so I think she might be better by herself. Otherwise she is precious and sweet, I love her heart shaped dark nose and her eyes and mouth seemed like she put some eyeliner on and that in contrast with her fur and colors just looks beautiful. My neighbor and I agreed that she is a good cat and we both wanted to find someone to adopt her, not just going God knows where, she deserves a chance to be somebody's pet and have a good life and make somebody happy, like she has done with both of us, even on a temporary basis. This is Velvet and she desperately needs a forever loving home. She was once pregnant, but then disappeared. She eventually returned in attempt to escape the elements and we had her spayed. She is 1.5 years old and is very loving. She has been tested negative for FIV and is chipped.

Thunder and Dash are two beautiful indoor male cats from the same litter. They look like Russian Blues but were actually rescues and are a genetically rare type of Tabby - blue ghost. They are large cats, Dash is obese and needs help to lose weight. They are timid with new people but are friendly, snuggly, and intuitive once they get to know you. They are very connected to one another and spend most of their time together. I would not want them to be separated. We are unable to keep them because Dash is very stressed out by the dog and our son who is on the autism spectrum. Dash has lost most of the hair on his belly and is extremely overweight. We have tried everything but he continues to overgroom and we just don't think its fair for him to suffer in this environment.

I also squeak, rather than meow, which my foster mom says is super cute!
