Story
Meet Duck! This sweet boy is an active 1-2 yr old 70 pound Anatolian Shepherd with possibly some Great Pyrenees, hound, and Labrador Retriever mixed in. He has the most beautiful soulful eyes and appears to have webbed feet. Hence the name Duck aka Ducky. He was living outdoors in a rural area in Oklahoma with several other large similar breed dogs in less than desirable circumstances when surrendered by his elderly owner who could no longer care for them. In his foster home, he has quickly blossomed into a silly, goofy, pampered indoor pooch. He is currently living with 3 other dogs ranging in age and size from small to large and gets along great with everyone. Duck would love a home with another playful dog who can keep him company and show him the ropes in his new home so he can continue to gain confidence. A yard where he can explore, fetch his ball and squeaky toy, and do zoomies would be great too! He promises to keep yard squirrel free and his silliness is sure to make you smile! He loves being in the middle of whatever is going on and going for daily walks. He’s such a good boy. He rarely pulls on walks. When Duck can’t convince anyone to play with him, he entertains himself by chewing on his chew treats (bully sticks, bones, antlers, etc.). After walks and playing in the yard, he usually settles down nicely for a nap, tv time, or lounging. He is such a smart boy. He quickly aced crate and house training. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and is crated when his foster mom is not home. Duck quickly learned how to sit and will sit for treats, which he takes ever so gently. He also rides well in the car. Duck has a loud deep bark and is vocal whenever someone comes to the door and sometimes when playing - so he probably would not be well suited for apartment life. Because of his size and playfulness, he would do better in a home with adults and bigger kiddos. He has not been cat tested. He gets excited whenever he sees a cat on walks, especially if they run, so he might not be good in a home with cats. His fur is soft, short, and low maintenance. Duck is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick medications, and ready for his forever home. Apply today to meet this handsome boy (but be warned... he'll steal your heart), by starting submitting the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Duck is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

Story
Brady is a year and a half old Anatolian Shepherd. He loves to be outside and is friendly with everyone. That being said, he needs discipline to continue to be instilled in his life. He is an anxious dog and needs owners that will love him as we have loved him. I WILL NOT GIVE HIM TO A FAMILY OR COUPLE THAT I DO NOT TRUST OR GET A GOOD FEELING ABOUT, AS THIS DOG IS OUR WORLD. It breaks my heart to let him go after everything we have been through, but with the current set of circumstances, he will be much happier in a place with more space and a family that can make him a happy dog. He listens to commands, such as sit, lay down, shake, and bark. He will listen to his name if no distraction is present. He needs to be on a leash unless in a yard or house. He is an extremely loving, gentle, and kind dog that will make for a great family protector. He has not been neutered and I would really prefer if he not be. Of course that is up to the new family. He is an amazing dog

Story
This girl is doing amazing well despite her initial prognosis.  She is a fighter and filling out and growing into such a beautiful dog.  She seems to be adapting well and just needs her meds 3x a day to maintain what her body needs.  She is so sweet and so worth the extra effort of just a few meds and perhaps we few extra checks ups now and then.  But we are so pleased with the results of her surgery and so glad to see her feeling and doing so well. Valentine was rescued last Feb, she is a Pyrenees Anatolian mix, about 70 lbs, had a liver shunt and had surgery to help her. She needs medicine 3x a day. She is very sweet and beautiful, she loves her humans and wants to be sure they are safe at all times.  She is a good girl, a bit shy out of her element but as long as she has you she feels safe. Valentine is great with other pups, playful and gentle and doesn’t bother her foster sibling kitty. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.   For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.  Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.  ##214068##

Story
We have 3 dogs. One 8 year old female Anatolian Shepard black lab mix (Meka). One female pit bull lab mix that is 4-5 years old (Xena). Finally one male dachshund mix that is 7-8. The two larger females do not get along very well. The Anatolian is protective of us and does not like the younger female. Currently we can manage them. However we are expecting a new baby. We are concerned we will struggle to deescalate the tension between the two females once the new baby arrives. Meka is a wonderful friend and K9 that will hopefully be a great companion for someone that needs one.
