He’s a 6-7 year old male Australian Cattle Dog from the state of Kentucky. He’s a sweet, gentle dog who loves endless pets, cuddles, and brushing. With a beautiful speckled coat how could you say no to this cutie?! Gambler gets so excited to take his daily walks! He moves at a brisk pace and loves leading the way by sniffing all the scents. He’ll even occasionally check behind him to make sure you’re keeping up. Gambler does very well on a leash - he does not pull, shows no aggression to other dogs (although sometimes seems disinterested in them), and does not bark. Despite a few minor accidents in the house the first night of fostering, likely just due to the stress of a new environment, Gambler has adjusted to regularly going to the bathroom outdoors. He’s an intelligent dog, eager to pick up commands like sit, stay, down, etc. through positive reinforcement. With consistent training and a regular schedule Gambler would thrive! However, he hasn’t shown interest yet in any toys, playing catch, or other games. It’s easy to picture Gambler in a loving home, either with a yard or with someone that enjoys regular walks/runs. If you can shower him with attention and affection he’ll be your new best buddy. Gambler is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Gambler's adoption fee is $300.
