Story
Approx. DOB: 4/12/17                 Approx Weight: 37 Lbs Adoption Fee: $225 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Rocky has had a tough start to his life.  He was given to a woman in a rural MO town as a puppy and she never provided any vet care for him. He lived outside and somehow escaped his yard and was hit by a car. He landed in the shelter and was injured, after an xray was done we were contacted to see if we could help.  We then found out that he also had heartworms!  So as Rocky has spent the last few months healing a fracture he has also been battling heartworms.  He is now healthy and ready to find a home that will love him and care for him forever!  He needs a fenced yard.   Rocky joined a foster home last weekend so we are hoping to have more details on his personality soon! Rocky has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from Noon to 4:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support!

Story
This handsome boy is Pua. He is 70 pounds and almost 2 years old. He is the most loving and playful boy. Pua loves sticks and playing fetch. He will play with any and every toy you give him! This young man is very smart and would love a home with an active family who is interested in continuing to challenge him. He is house trained and knows a few tricks too! He’s lived in a few homes during his life and this causes him to be slow to trust new people. He would do best in a home with consistency and routines. He loves to play with his doggy foster brother, but can be picky with his new friends. He would love to meet any potential siblings. He is obviously handsome and is not afraid to smile. Will you give him a chance? Due to Pua’s size we do not recommend a home with young children. If you are interested in meeting Pua please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoption-application and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com Pua's adoption fee has been sponsored by multiple kind donors and he will go to his family for free with an approved application. This includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, deworm, and heartworm testing.
