Story
Ms. Oscar is a Rescue. My son said when he rescued her that the only name she would respond to was Oscar......But since she’s a girl, I added the Ms., LOL. She is a super sweet, loving Indoor dog that loves people young and old, and would do best as an only pet. She is a big scaredy cat - she is severely scared of fireworks and lawn care equipment so it’s best to keep her inside. She is very gentle and well trained and wants luv’ins all the time💜. She doesn’t chew or disrupt anything in the home but does like TUFF plush dog toys & she also loves car rides. We really hate to have to re-home her, but my nephew has moved in with us and is allergic. We tried placing her outside but she cries to be let inside because she has been an indoor dog for the last 4 years. We hope to find her a new family home that can give her the love and lifestyle she deserves.

Story
We adopted Doe in 2016. Her (estimated) birthday is October 15th. She just turned 3. Doe is a very calm dog until she gets outside. She loves going on runs and chasing squirrels. She also loves to help our daughter with her homework and be the bull when they play rodeo. She has been a wonderful addition to our family but we have to relocate and are unable to have pets at our new home. Because Doe loves squirrels so much she will sometimes jump our back fence.

Story
Freckles is a great dog with a need for room to run and play. We adopted her at 5 months and just didn't realize how active she would become with the requirement of much exercise. We are unable to provide as much as needed. She's a smart dog and would be great with an active family. I think herding cows should be in her future! At least she tries to do it with our grandchildren!

Story
Roger was born around July 2007. He lived in a home for a long time with other dogs but when his owner passed away no other family member could take him and he was brought back to the shelter. Roger has some vision issues and although he does enjoy going for walks he will need a calm household with some patience to show him the way. He is housebroken and just wants to lie on a comfy bed and gnaw on a bone. If interested in adopting Roger please fill out form at www.lifelongfriends.org/adoptions. You must live in Texas to adopt from us and all family members must meet Roger before being approved.

Story
I adopted Dottie 5 years ago from the Leander Humane Heroes. I had bought a house a couple years before and was tired of coming home to an empty house. She has been a great dog. She has lots of energy and loves playing fetch and going to the park. She is very athletic as well and has great agility. We just can't give her the attention she needs. We have a new baby and are traveling quite a bit. We would love for her to go to a home with a lot of land where she can run and explore. We have another dog Missy, that is up for adoption also. We would like the two dogs to be adopted together. They are best friends.

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Story
Wrigley was going to a kill shelter and instead of allowing that to happen was taken in. During the time Wrig has become more protective, due to the nature of a cattle dog, he needs a job and some space. New landlord will not allow dogs so feel it is best to find a home for Wrig. He has become more aggressive due to old living situation and is currently at a boarder for his safety and that our new landlord will not allow dogs. Of paramount concern is that Wrigley finds a good home with someone who can take charge, give him a job to do, and ensure that he has the care he needs. We can't bring ourselves to put him in a shelter and not know that he went to a good home. He will take some work to get to his good natured loving self. He is a protective dog. He needs someone that can nurture him back to the great dog he is. We do not have the means, or experience to do any of these. We have concerns about him around children which is likely in our future.
