Story
This gorgeous red Aussie is Sage!  Sage was surrendered to us when her owner moved to an apartment and knew Sage would not be happy with that lifestyle.  Sage went to a foster home where she is living with other dogs, a very dog loving cat and 3 boys who are happy to keep her active and running!  Sage actually gave us an experience we had never had before.  At 4 and a half years old she had not  been spayed and Sage was in a false pregnancy!  Her mind totally thought she was having puppies and her body was reacting to her mind by giving her all the physical symptoms including having her mammary glands fill with milk.  We quickly got Sage spayed to avoid any possible hormonal issues such as Pyometra (a hormonal condition in unspayed animals that can have severe consequences if left untreated).  Luckily she has had her surgery and every thing is fine now.  Sage is a busy busy girl who like most Aussies, would love a job to do!  If you don't happen to have any sheep to herd she will need you to give her plenty of mental and physical stimulation.  Sage does get along with her foster siblings but she would prefer a home where she was numero uno and would get lots of love and attention. Although she does think her cat friend is pretty cool and if you had a cat as cool as her foster brother that would be great!  Sage would be an excellent candidate for agility training and obedience training.  And did you say you were looking for a running partner and to get in shape....Sage can do that with you!  Sage does have storm anxiety and we have her on an all natural calming supplement when we know storms are on their way.  She also prefers to eat calmly and alone in her kennel where she can take her time.  Sage loves her humans and especially the kids.  She is very in-tune with where everyone is at in the home and is always making sure that everyone is ok!  Sage is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, wormed and micro-chipped.  She is ready to find the best forever home for her and if you think you might be able to give this busy girl lots of love and exercise please go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org and submit the Dog Adoption Application Sage's adoption fee is $250.00

This 5 mo old deaf puppy is named Cotton he will be available April 9th. He does amazingly well with another dog to guide him and give him confidence. You will teach him hand signals and he will be eager to learn. He will be available for adoption April 9th to a home with another dog. His current friend is Kermit the little Shepherd puppy. His adoption fee will include his puppy shots, neuter and a micro chip.
