Story
This is Annie which I call Annie Bell, my little Girl. She is 2.5 years old and is so misunderstood. She has anxiety that is being treated with meds and she sees a Behaviorist. She has been on her current medication now for a while and she is doing her VERY well. She has learned some new commands since she has been with me. She can shake paws, lay down and sit on command It is best she not be around small children as she is a herder, but Older kids are ok. Annie has resource guarding issues with food and toys. Feeding her separately is an easy solution. She gets very possessive over toys and will snarl and nip, but she has REALLY turned around from the frightened baby I got last June. Annie loves to cuddle with her people and snuggle in bed. She has made amazing strides and there is a perfect family out there for her. If you think you are the perfect match for this beautiful girl, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
This is a Courtesy Posting - not a Silver Lake Dog! Paige is a sweet Australian Shepherd. She weighs 70 lbs. She is a very lovable dog that lost her human and is looking for a new home to call her own. She walks well on a leash with harness; not known if she likes other dogs, but prefers no felines. She will chase squirrels, and loves having a yard to run in. She is good with older kids, but needs time to get to know them. She loves to give hugs, cuddles and play with her humans. One more thing Paige loves to chase bubbles! For more information please call Lisa at: 248-773-6992

Story
Foxxy was taken from an abusive home when she was 1 year old. A young lady adopted her but couldnt keep her because of a change in living situation. I have taken care of Foxxy for three years. I love her very much but I have to move to a place that does not allow dogs. She will be better off with a family because she doesnt like to be alone. She is indifferent towards dogs. I dont know about cats. She likes to play ball with older children and adults. She loves to snuggle on her persons lap. She seemed fine around a toddler that tried to pet her at the park. She is a little nerveous when traveling in a car, at the vet, groomer or during thunder storms. she will listen to my off leash commands. Its better to have a fenced back yard or keep her on leash until you are sure she wont run away. She knows some commands. She could use a general check up. Up to date on shots. Teeth cleaned one year ago. She turned five 6/14/19.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dougie is looking for someone with a big loving heart to mend his broken heart. After a life of loyal companionship (much of that at the end of a chain), Dougie found himself neglected and abandoned in a shelter.  A fate he certainly didn't deserve.  He has plenty of love left to give. He will fit in any situation as he does well with kids and other dogs. He sleeps through the night in his crate and goes to the door when he needs to go outside. No food aggression at all as he will move aside and let the other dogs eat his food if we are not careful.  I suspect his vision is not what it once was, but he does just fine and navigates stairs and the backyard on his own.  He still plays nicely by himself with toys and does very well on a leash. He's a pretty quiet guy that doesn’t cause any problems . He is hoping someone will give him a home to spend his golden years where he belongs, with his forever family.    He looks like a pure bred Australian Shepherd -Blue Merle, and his eyes are different colors, which is super neat!   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. He looks like a pure bred Australian Shepherd -Blue Merle, and his eyes are different colors, which is super neat!             Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
