Figaro is in hospice foster care as he is in renal failure, but still has a good quality of life. Figaro and his sister, Zsa Zsa, came to NTCR’s attention when their human was placed into a long-term care facility and a plea for help in rehoming them was issued. We were told they went to a new home. As it turns out, the pair were shuffled to two different homes where neither received adequate food, water, attention, or veterinary care. NTCR was alerted to their plight once again. We rescued both kitties; however, it was too late for Zsa Zsa. By the time we rescued her, Zsa Zsa was in complete renal failure and her organs began shutting down. We had to let her go. Story
Caesar is 2 years old and a very loving and sweet boy. He is an amazing boy and I wish I could keep him, but my allergies will not allow me to. He loves to climb and likes high places. He's always hanging out on the cat shelves we built or the cat tree. He can be independent, but also begs for attention. He's smart and has started to learn to sit for treats. He is very vocal and likes to play fetch with toys. We got him from my father-in-law after they had adopted him from a rescue. He was checked out at the vet when we got him and found to had been adopted from the rescue with FIV. He has been healthy and has not had any complications. Our vet expects him to have a long and healthy life as long as his health is kept up with. He does have some behavioral issues such as only defecating right beside the litter box and not in it. He doesn't go anywhere else, just beside it. He will probably be best as an only animal, though he has been raised around dogs and other cats.
