Lindy is a hound mix born in July 2017 who is super sweet and could be a good addition to many homes. Lindy enjoys the company of other dogs and looks forward to opportunities where she can play with them. Being a young dog, she does have a slightly rough and tumble play style, so a doggy friend who enjoys this style of play is best. Lindy loves kids. She has met cats and based on those interactions, we have no reason to believe she wouldn't also do well with them. Lindy also loves her squeaky toys and going for a casual stroll. At the end of the day, she enjoys relaxing with her people. A good massage is her favorite and if you stop, you may just find that she will put her paw on you, which is her way to ask for more.
With that said, Lindy is a slightly nervous dog who does need a family who can help her gain confidence and get comfortable with new environments through encouragement, positive reinforcement and patience. When you meet Lindy, you may also notice she has a bit of an abnormal gait when she walks. She has been seen by a specialist for this and they determined she has mild hip dysplasia. No surgery or medical intervention was recommended but regular checkups every year would be a good idea to make sure it has not worsened. Lindy has such a sweet and gentle disposition that we hope this doesn't scare adopters away as she will make some family very happy! Lindy would do best in a house without shared walls and a fenced in yard for her to run and spend time outside...which she loves to do.
