Story
zzJelly was born December 15, 2018 and has a very sweet and patient personality. She was extremely loved and well cared for by her owner who recently passed away. Her owner had no children so zzJelly was raised with much love and attention. zzJelly worked with a dog trainer when she was a puppy (not because bad behavior) so she knows many commands. zzJelly is healthy since she went to the groomers and also had her health checked regularly. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventatives. She is friendly with dogs but I'm unsure about cats and children. I'm hoping that Jelly finds a loving family with a yard.Disclaimer: This dog is a participant in the Paws in the City Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by the foster, not by Paws in the City. To meet this dog, contact info@pawsinthecity.org, or the foster Alex at aw4520011@gmail.com

Story
Meet Brody, a 4 year old Beagle/Hound mix who was found as a stray. He is about 34 lbs. of sweetness who gets along well with other dogs and children but he has not been tested around cats. Brody is house and crate trained, rides well in the car, and sits for his treats. He came to us with heartworms but he has undergone treatment recently. Brody does not like loud noises and prefers to play with his toys by himself. He is a bit skittish but very loving. Brody would do best in a household with older children and a good size fenced yard so he can squirrel watch. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Do you love the sweetness of a senior dog? If so, Rocky might be a great choice for you! Rocky is a Beagle/Min Pin mix who weighs 27 pounds and may be around 11 years old. Rocky is a very sweet dog who is cuddly and friendly. He has learned some commands like sit, wait, down, and catch. He walks well on the leash and does well with bathing, nail trimming, and brushing. Rocky gets along and plays well with the two dogs in his foster home. He likes to ride in the car, play with his plush toys, and give/get cuddles. He also gets along with cats and human strangers. He is starting to get used to the crate, but still whines when he is in it. Rocky would do well in a home with other dogs, but tends to be possessive of food, so an experienced and patient owner might be more suitable. Poor Rocky was surrendered to a shelter by his owners after 10 years but we have no idea why. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Story
Charlie is an unusual, unique but gorgeous dog! He appears to be a mix of a Bassett Hound (with his short legs) and Golden Retreiver. What a great combo! He is about 7 months old and currently weighs about 35lbs but will likely grow to about 40-45lbs. He is so incredibly sweet and really loves the women! We have to say, he seems to be partial to the ladies:) However, he does do well with men and kids and loves to play with dogs of all sizes. He will steal your heart! He was rescued from a rural shelter when they became overcrowded, saving him from being killed.

Story
Meet Bates the Basset Hound! Have you ever seen a funnier looking pup? This happy goof is around 8 years old and is loving life in his foster home as he waits for his forever family to find him. Bates is a good boy - he gets along with everyone! Dogs, kids, doesn't matter. He immediately becomes best buddies with anyone he meets. He's also a talkative dog. He will always let you know how much he loves his pets, belly rubs, and ear scratches by grunting. Bates also likes to patrol the house to see what everyone is up to...especially if people are in the kitchen! As for toys, he likes to roll around with them on the floor but as you might have gathered because he's a basset hound, he doesn't need to play fetch to get out any energy. An ideal home for Bates is one with a family that will work with him on house training. He doesn't know that it's bad to mark in the house! So a patient, present family is key. Being that he's so social, Bates would love companions at home, along with his people being home a lot. He also would love to accompany his people to coffee shops and on strolls around town. His long body and big, goofy ears make him quite the showstopper, so he's bound to make lots of friends while out and about! This silly pup deserves the perfect forever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Bates today! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption.
