Found Mr. Kitty on the street 7 years ago. He is deaf and always has been. He is a great cat who needs someone to hang out with. He likes to be in the same room as people, but doesn’t like to cuddle or sit with you. He can get overwhelmed with lots of people. He occasionally gets on counters and tables and knocks things over. He is declawed in the front only and is not an outdoor cat, but he runs out the door anytime it’s open. He has a lot of patience with kids when they are running around chasing them! He has never bitten anyone! Do not know what kind of breed he is. This cat needs a home with no other animals (gets anxiety when around others) and someone to take care of him and give him attention.

Playful and sweet....that describes Barney! This 7-years-old, small black domestic shorthair male is looking for a home to call his own. Barney showed up at the shelter as a stray cat in 2016 and was adopted for three years. Because Carmel's ordinances do not allow cats to live outdoors, once he moved inside, a family member became allergic to him and he was surrendered back to the shelter in June 2019. Barney's family described Barney as a good family cat, friendly, and affectionate. He enjoys lying on his back with his feet up. Barney loves to cuddle and delights in chasing bubbles and balls.HSHC staff members say that Barney is very easy-going and sweet-natured. You must meet this playful little guy to see that Barney would make a fun addition to any household! 7/18/19
