Story
Lily is a sweet two-year old female dilute calico.  Lily is a bit shy with people until she gets to know them and enjoys the company of other cats.  Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) is open Saturday and Sunday from 11AM-4PM or by appointment on Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 11AM- 2PM. Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org, outside of our Adoption Center in PetSmart, or by emailing adoptions@palscats.org. A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally.

Story
Yogi was surrendered due to differences with another cat in the home.  Yogi was being bullied by his housemate and after trying everything possible, the family was not able to come to a resolution to have the cats live in harmony.  Three-year old Yogi is friendly and playful.  Yogi lived in a home with children and enjoyed sleeping with them.  Yogi is polydactyl on his front paws. Yogi is on prescription diet (this takes the guesswork out of what to buy).  Royal Canin Fiber ResponseEvery PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello there, it's Tschotski. Though I may look like other tiger-striped tabbies, I am definitely a unique girl. At 14 years old, I'm mature but watch me play with a feather toy on a string: bobbing and weaving, pawing and jabbing. I have a ton of energy.I'm a friendly girl at heart. I'll trot across the room for you and visitor to pet me. But I can be mercurial, too. For example: try as I might to enjoy it, I just don't like to be held. It makes me cranky, and I'm liable to startle you with a scratch or a nip. Most likely, it's these old bite wounds on my legs. Though they've been healed for quite some time now, my limbs are still sensitive. Now, healthy and strong, I am a great companion cat. But because I can be a bit unpredictable, I need to live with adults who have had some experience with felines. Also, I'd do best as a solo pet. I hope you'll consider a somewhat quirky, lovable girl like me.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Morticia but there is nothing gloomy about me. I am a gentle, calm all black short haired gal of 12 years. I had a wonderful quiet life with my adopter but due to her health issues I am looking for a new forever home. I'm a little slow to warm up to new people but once I settle in I will purr like a motor when you brush and pet me. I can coexist with other cats, but prefer to be your only pet! My vet determined that I have high blood sugar, which my foster mom is treating with special food and insulin. I would love to be your steadfast companion if you'll promise to feed me right, attend to my health needs and pet me often!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Holy Catnip! It's me Batman and my sidekick Robin. I have a classic Batman mask and Robin has more white and a black nose. Together we are a slightly dynamic duo. It's a good thing Wakefield is a quieter place than Gotham City because we are actually a bit shy. We lived with only 1 person who we really miss and are still adapting to meeting new people. We may clam up when you first visit, but for the person who is kind and patient, we'll start to come out of our shell to play and explore. We are just a little under 4 & 3 years old. So if you would like to meet us, stop by with some Mulligatawny Soup (minus the curry) and we can discuss if there is room in your home for 2 caped crusaders.
