I have had Gaia since she was 4 months old. She is a lovable, cuddly lap cat for the right person (she is a bit of a snob). She is friendly toward small dogs, she always tried to be friends with my mom's chihuahua Rock, although, he wasn't having it. She is scared of dogs that are bigger than a terrier. Gaia is a 1 1/2 year old Russian Blue/Maine Coon mix. She is a mother, she has had 3 litters. Her last litter was all sick and they all passed, she has been suffering from some depression as a result. She needs an owner who sees and appreciates her affectionate nature, but who will also give her space to be alone when she needs. She loves to have her head rubbed, and she will seek affection by chirping and rubbing her face against yours. She was an outside cat for the first 4 months of her life, but I have been keeping her inside so it is unsure if she will be okay outside. She is not up to date on her shots, I have progressive MS and it has proven difficult to get her to the vet.

Yara has been a part of our family for 3 years. She is very quiet and keeps to herself mostly. We love her very much. She does not handle change very well. We recently moved and are working to certify to foster children, however Yara does not take to new people or animals very well. She needs extensive time and consideration when introduced to a new environment or people/animals. She deserves a home that can give her that. She is a fantastic and independent companion for one or two people, not a large family. She will come and cuddle or talk to you once she feels safe, which can take a little bit to make happen. It is not right to expose her to the changing environment a foster home will provide her. She needs a stable home with little changes.

When we bought our house, this cat was sitting on the porch. When he started getting skinnier, we realized the old owners of the house had been feeding him. My husband is severely allergic, and can’t spend more than a minute on our porch. We just got him neutered and vaccinated, but they discovered he’s FIV+. He needs to be the only cat or in a home with other FIV+ cats. Super sweet temperament.
