Meet Cocoa, a female kitty about 3 years old who was brought into the Sand Springs animal shelter as a pregnant stray. While at the shelter she gave birth to 3 healthy kittens. Cocoa was such a good mama that when the shelter had 7 orphaned kittens with no where to go they decided to give them a chance with Cocoa. Thankfully for all the kittens, Cocoa cared for them as if they were her own. They were all placed in a foster home. Cocoa seemed very relieved to have a quiet place to care for her kittens. Now that the kittens are all grown up and moving on to their forever homes, it's time for Cocoa find a family that will give her the life this sweet girl deserves. She enjoys cuddles and loves sleeping on the foot of her foster moms bed. Cocoa is an FIV positive kitty, this is an immunodeficiency that does not generally cause issues for cats diagnosed with it. FIV positive cats live long healthy lives and can be adopted into homes with other friendly FIV negative cats without fear of spreading the disease.
