Rufus is an extremely lucky cat who is waiting for the chance at a home of his own. He was attacked by a fox and severely wounded. Fortunately, he was brought indoors and has become a very trusting, affectionate cat. He's also enjoying the many perks of life indoors- warm, soft beds, food, lots of pets and of course, toys! After over a month of wound care, Rufus is finally healed, although he has some muscle damage to his hindquarters. However, this isn't enough to prevent him from playing and jumping! Rufus is a handsome boy and talkative. He loves to be brushed, petted and spends most of his time purring. He looks forward to belly rubs and doesn't mind being held. He is beginning to play and his favorite toys are feather wand toys, toy mice, and anything with catnip. He is a little overwhelmed by new people & places, but that's understandable given his ordeal. He will need some patience once he's in a new home, but he will become a wonderful buddy for life. Rufus is about 1 1/2 years old, neutered, up to date with vaccinations and negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. Daisy and Dinah are a private adoption. To find out more info or adopt this wonderful pair, please contact Phyllis at psodroski@icloud.com. Daisy and Dinah are a wonderful pair waiting for you! Daisy loves to show her love by giving nose rubs. She loves to play but, often sits on the sidelines because the other cats will run her over. As their foster mom prepares their food too slowly, she will put her one arm around an ankle and give the slightest nibble. She isn’t fond of being held like a baby and prefers to relax on you either by your side or on your legs if you are on a recliner. She is quiet only squeaking and chirping. She is quite tiny, very interactive, social & friendly. Extremely GENTLE & sweet. She hates her photo taken. No matter how clever her foster mom is, no matter what she is doing, when she sees the camera she splits! Dinah, aka Princess Dinah, insists on being on top of you regardless if there is a laptop on your lap or anything else. She will maneuver herself one step at a time until she gets to you. She will flip upside down in your arm and nap all afternoon on me cradled in your arms. She does not mind being held like a baby. When going up and down the stairs she will plop at the top of the stairs or landing every single time and stretch out & roll over, trying to get attention. She gives kisses and tries to stay as close to you as she can possibly get. She is very sweet, extremely gentle & playful. She will stand off on the sidelines when people come. It’s almost like “I’m not going anywhere”. She is quiet, squeaking & chirping. Both Daisy & Dinah are well mannered, perfect housemates and cat friendly. They are very interactive with the other cat in their foster home. They love their spring toys chasing them up and down the stairs chirping. They love to play and it is important they get quality play time daily. They are fully vetted: spayed, up to date with vaccinations, Feline Leukemia and FIV negative and microchipped.

We will resume our adoptions, meetings and events when it is safe following guidance by the CDC and Pennsylvania State Government. Alfie is a very cute tuxedo with beautiful green eyes. She showed up on a volunteer's property and although very elusive, she was finally rescued. Although she was wary of people outdoors, once she was indoors it was obvious she was a sweet girl. She has adjusted extremely well to life in her foster home with 2 other cats, although we think she'd be happier with fewer cats! Alfie is a shy, gentle girl and will take a little bit of time to adjust to a new home, but once she knows you her sweet side is undeniable. She loves to play and can entertain herself. She is also a lap cat and especially enjoys being brushed. She has a soft meow and purr to match her sweet disposition. Alfie is currently in foster care with 2 other male cats that she tolerates. She does prefer to have her own space so we think she'd do well with another independent cat but she may not be the best choice for a lonely cat that wants a buddy to cuddle with. Alfie would rather cuddle with her people! Alfie is a young adult, about 2-3 years old, spayed, up to date with vaccinations and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. We will resume our adoptions, meetings and events when it is safe following guidance by the CDC and Pennsylvania State Government Hudson is a very handsome, friendly kitty. He is on the larger size and has those cheeks that you just want to squeeze. We don't think life was kind to Hudson prior to being rescued. He had a few battle scars and a wound on his front leg when he was found. The wound is healed but he still walks with a limp on that leg which is most likely permanent. We are still hopeful it will heal but only time will tell. Hudson loves to be petted and will head butt your hand once you stop for more. He is learning how to play and absolutely loves it. He is a little overwhelmed with the number of cats in his foster home so we feel he would be happiest as an only cat or 1 other friendly cat that will respect his space. He is would prefer a home without large dogs. Hudson is about 5 years old (11/19), neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, negative for FeLV but he did test positive for FIV. We consider Hudson special needs because he tested positive for FIV. This is not Feline Leukemia, which he tested negative for. Because he has a very friendly disposition and is easy to get along with, he does not have to be an only cat. FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds from an infected cat and is prevalent among intact male cats who are fighting for territory and mates. FIV has a very unfair stigma even within the vet & cat rescue community. We have many current resources on FIV which we'd be happy to refer you to and also many experiences with FIV+ cats. We are hopeful that someone will have an open mind (or is already well informed about FIV!) and come to meet the Hudson. He is such a sweetie.!
