Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I’m Bennie, just like B-B-B-Bennie and the Jets! I came to KSC as one of the “Rocket Man” kittens – my littermates are Elton, Bernie and Kiki.  I would like to be adopted with one of them, because we’re all really close.   When I came to my foster home I had a nasty right eye that I couldn’t see out of. The vet took it out so I don’t have to worry about infections down the road, and I think she did an awesome job! I still have one good eye that I use everyday to run around and play.     I was about three months old when my siblings and I came to our foster home, and I still haven’t fully learned to trust humans. I’m making progress, though! I’m a total foodie and will come up and eat out of your hand. At dinnertime, I will come up to you and twist around your feet like any other kitty would. I may even curl up on your blanketed feet while you’re watching TV or reading a book. It’s just that I sometimes get scared if you reach out to pet me. I may let you pet me if you approach me slowly. If you pick me up, you’ll see that I’m incredibly docile, and you can hold me and pet me for as long as you please. I promise I don’t bite!   Did you know that there are TV programs specifically for cats? Those are my FAVORITE! I will go right up to the screen and follow the birds darting around. I will even try to swat at them. When it’s not time for TV, you can find me playing with the other cats in the house. I have three siblings my own size, but I will also go up to the adult cats in my foster home and beg them to play with me. I love to roughhouse, but after a long afternoon of play I like to relax by curling up with another feline and taking a nap. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. CURRENTLY IN FOSTER   Hello I'm Kismet.  I'm a beautiful sleek black and grey tabby cat.  I was rescued from a Baltimore shelter and brought to KSC where I met my best friend Yvonne. (We are bonded kittens now!) I am good-natured, well mannered and a little shy but once I get to know you I will purr in your arms while giving head nudges and snuggles. I am healthy and robust and am comfortable with alone time as well as rambunctious wrestle time with Yvonne. (Our favorite toys are plastic springs on bare floors)  My foster parents have learned my secret- I am motivated by cat treats and snacks.  Don't I seem like I would be a purrfect addition to your home? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. CURRENTLY IN FOSTER   Howdy! I am Yvonne, a beautiful grey tabby cat.  I was found outside as a baby and brought to KSC to find my forever home.  I met my bonded foster sister Kismet at KSC and we have been best friends ever since.  I am the quintessential kitten; cute, cuddly, playful and loving.  I love to play for hours and can entertain myself.  My favorite toys are plastic springs on bare floors and guess what? I can play fetch like a puppy with the springs!  I love naps with my bestie Kismet and my nickname is "Spider-Monkey".  I am a wonderful cat and Kismet and I would be an asset to any loving home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. TWO LOVING, INSEPARABLE BEST FRIENDS WILL BRING DOUBLE THE HAPPINESS INTO YOUR HOME Hello friends, my name is Downy. A long time ago (you know, maybe 2 years?) in a faraway place (called Maryland) my best friend Vincent and I formed a lifelong bond that will warm your heart. We are inseparable best friends who thrive in each others' company. We're looking for a forever home where we can show you how wonderful it is to rescue two deserving feline friends. At some point, we found ourselves outside in the great outdoors. Everything was uncertain. We met mean cats. We were afraid, but we clung to one another. And then... ... one of the kindest people you could imagine fed us for well over a year.  Not long ago we were rescued and introduced to King Street Cats. Now everything's changed for the better - we're safe, loved, enjoying each others' company as much as always... and our new volunteer friends promise us that our very own purrson(s) will hear about us and take us home to a castle of our own! I'm about two (2) years old and Vincent is about four (4) years old. I've always learned a lot from Vincent and followed his lead. He taught me that it's a very good thing to trust human friends. I took his meow for it and discovered the bliss of being a lap cat! I want to snuggle in your lap, warm you up and purrrrr with happiness for you. I am an absolutely gorgeous long-haired silvery boy with a snowy white tuxedo! As you can see, I am sporting a "lion cut" right now because my stunning long fur had become tangled and matted. When it grows out you are going to see the most handsome little man you can imagine! When we were fending for ourselves outdoors, a mean cat attacked Vincent. Vincent was bitten deeply by this cat, who transmitted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus to him. We describe this as being "FIV+." This is what you need to know about Vincent: FIV is not Feline Aids. FIV is not human HIV. Humans cannot catch FIV. Dogs cannot catch FIV. FIV is transmitted through deep-bite puncture wounds. Two agreeable cats (such as we are), one with FIV and the other without, can live happily together (we are proof of this!) At some point in their lives, FIV+ cats may, or may not, develop a heightened susceptibility to the ailments that all felines face. FIV+ care requirements are as follows - and are no different than what we'd ask you to provide any cat you bring into your home: Feed a healthy, high quality high protein/grain free (preferably wet food only, because this is so much healthier than dry food)   Keep indoors and away from combative cats Establish a relationship with a trusted veterinarian (who is enlightened about FIV). Visit vet regularly and any time when you notice that your kitty isn't feeling or acting like him- or herself (this means getting to know your kitty well enough to understand what "acting like him- or herself" means) That's it. Wait, what? Yes, that's it.   We are two wonderful boys with very clear affinities for our human friends and we cannot wait to meet you, charm you, and share our special bond of affection and loyalty with you. Please come to meet us! It's easy to get started: send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for us, Downy and Vincent. Thank you very much. Affectionately yours, Downy (with my best friend Vincent)    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. STUNNING "ONE AND ONLY" BEAUTY WILL FOLLOW YOU AROUND LIKE A PUPPY Hello friends, my name is Sweetie. I am a stunning long-haired beauty who inexplicably found myself stranded at a highway rest stop. Can you imagine? I was terrified. Thankfully, a kind purrson found me and introduced me to King Street Cats. Now I'm safe and loved and doing what I do best: making friends with the KSC volunteers and following them around loyally in a way that you'd normally associate with a dog. Wait! Did I just compare myself to a dog? I am superior to all dogs! Just look at me! I'm five (5) years young, and if you've been around cats you know that this is both young and a wonderful age. I have excellent manners and I always clean up after myself. I'm lively and curious and interested in what you're doing. There is one thing that doesn't interest me, however: sharing a home with other animals. I am the kind of girl who thrives as your "one and only." I want to form a deep bond with you, and follow you everywhere. I don't want to share you with another animal! If you are looking for the loyal companionship of a beautiful girl, please request more information about me! It's easy: send your email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Sweetie. I can't wait to find my forever purrson and demonstrate my loyalty. Loyally yours, Sweetie    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
