I'm a sweet and loving girl who was physically abused in the past. Because of this trauma, I need time to get to know you before I feel comfortable. I definitely have a preference for men, but I could live with a woman who is kind to me. I'm currently in a foster home and I like my foster mom a lot, but when I hear my foster dad come home I go and wait at the door to meet him. :) I like to be petted but will shy away if you reach for me from above (probably because of the abuse in my past.) I like to sleep in bed with my foster parents and I enjoy playing with cat toys but I can be possessive and protective of my things, especially with people I don't know. I'm looking for a compassionate adopter who understands that I won't "instantly" feel secure in my new home. Give me time to settle in and treat me gently, and you'll see that I'm very affectionate with people I love. If you're a special person who can provide a loving home for a survivor of abuse, you could be just who I need! RaRa is best suited for a cat-savvy adopter in quiet adults-only home. My brother Toby and I are a bonded pair looking for a home together. We were surrendered due to human issues and through absolutely no fault of our own. I'm a front paw declawed lady with a very outgoing personality. I love attention and laying in a warm lap, and I really enjoy being petted. I'm also quite playful and like to chase any kind of toy! Toby is a very sweet boy who's more on the quiet side, although once he's comfortable he's not afraid to ask for attention. Toby and I get along well with other cats and love to snuggle with them.We'll be happiest in a quieter home and thanks to a kind sponsor, our adoption fee has already been paid. We were in pretty rough shape when we first came to the shelter, so we're excited to find an adopter who will really love and care about us! Toby and I are currently staying in a foster home. I'm a beautiful girl with bright blue eyes and a torti-point coat. I love head scratches and petting and I'll crawl into your lap to make sure I get all the affection I want. This doesn't mean I'm a couch potato, though, because I'm very playful and don't sit still for long! However, when I do sit still I'll want you to pet and cuddle me. I'm a sweet girl who came to the shelter with my kitten. My baby has been adopted and now it's my turn to find a home! I was scared at first but have gotten much more comfortable with people. Now I'm very affectionate and while I don't enjoy being held, I absolutely love to be petted and will climb in your lap for some loving. When I really get into being cuddled I give gentle little love nibbles. :) I am very playful and love to chase my toys, so my adopter should keep me supplied with fun playthings.
