Hi! I’m Zoey, a 45 pound, 1 year old Catahoula mix. I’m a super friendly gal who has lots of love to give and energy to burn. I’d love to join an active family and wouldn’t mind if that included kids or other dogs. They’re great! I’m a bit curious on kitties, but in a playful way. Not sure if the kitties want to play with me though... I can use some obedience training. I’m a bit jumpy and pull on a leash, but I listen well when corrected. I know I’ll ace obedience school! Remington is a very sweet boy. He is around 2 years old. He needs a yard to run because he has a lot of energy. However he does like to also be a couch potato with you. He is crate trained and knows sit and shake. I just had a baby and I work two jobs so I don’t have time for him. I also live in an apartment and he really needs a yard or someone to walk him often. I love this dog very much but I want to do what’s best for him.

Shadow has been in his foster home only a short time. But in those few days / weeks, he’s shown how quickly he can become attached to “his” human! He’s a gentle guy, despite his 60 pounds. The vet has guessed him to be quite young (roughly 12 – 15 months old in early November.) Shadow gets along wonderfully with his foster’s 100lb Rottweiler mix, but two additional family dogs have recently joined the household, and they’ve decided they don’t like Shadow at all! Despite their attitudes toward him, he’s shown great restraint! He’s housetrained, but doesn’t appreciate a crate! He can be nervous, becoming startled at loud noises. He quickly learned how to “sit”, and his foster is working to teach him he doesn’t have to eat as if he were in a race! He’s a handsome, kind dog who would needs a family to love! If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Shadow is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
