Lilly is a 3yr old female Rhodesian Ridgeback, who (even at 65 lbs!) believes in showing her affection by snuggling in your lap! When not demonstrating affection, she likes to demonstrate her considerable athleticism playing fetch with tennis balls to burn off some of that happy energy. Lilly is both loyal, and protective of her home, although she gets along well with other friendly dogs and people, especially women and children. A few dog treats will win you a chance with this sweet girl, and your gentleness and affection will earn her lifelong love! If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Kyla Mae is a beautiful, well behaved Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, who will turn 10 years old in Oct. 2020. Kyla came into her current home at the age of 3, and has been a well cared for, much loved indoor couch potato since then. Kyla is microchipped and spayed. A big girl at 100 lbs, but don’t tell her, because she thinks she is a lap dog. Kyla loves ALL people, but especially children, and gets along well with other dogs. In her current home, she was taught to leave the abundant wildlife alone. She is extremely obedient and wants to please. Kyla is very quiet meaning that she doesn’t bark unless alarmed; she is NOT a guard dog but her size and look are a great deterrent! She traveled all over the country in a motor home with her people, and loved meeting and greeting people. Kyla is house trained and sometimes avoid going outside to potty if its raining or storming. She is terrified of gunshot and thunder. Kyla carries a toy around in her mouth quite a bit, which appears comical for such a big girl. Like all dogs, Kyla sheds, but with her short coat it’s not that noticeable. Her family has struggled with the decision to rehome this sweet girl, but are adopting three little girls with special needs, including severe allergies! NOTES FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: Ryder is an adoption return through no fault of his own. He has had a hard time adjusting without his family. He is house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash & gets along with other dogs. He enjoys trips to the dog park as he is used to having a large area to roam. Ryder will need a very quiet, patient home with lots of decompression time. Someone who can take their time with him & bring him out of his shell. He craves attention but is too afraid to ask for it. We may cancel our home visits as well but if you could attach photos of your yard and one or two of your home that would be great. In lieu of the visit this would allow us to meet you and allow you to meet the pet and conduct a possible adoption either outside your home or at a public place where safe distancing can occur.

Bear is still much a puppy at 15 months old. He is a little mellow, but does love to play. He was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter. He is obedient, and learns fast. He likes his walks and days at the park. Bear has a tender soul and will bond closely with his people. He will probably be about 70-75 pounds. He is good on a leash and loves to cuddle. He often thinks he is a Chihuahua. Bear is a very special boy, and will make the perfect companion. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heart worm negative and has a micro chip.
