Story

Mel is the sweetest young cat with dog tendencies......... Mel will whine when he does not get his way. Mel is greedy, and will try to eat kitchen food. Mel is hard-headed and spoiled. Mel is very active. I received Melcee as a Mother's Day gift in May 2019, at 7 weeks old - he will be 1 year in April. I love him, but we are moving and cannot keep him. We have raised Mel to do as he was told - so he understands the word "No" - as a matter of fact, when he was 3 months old, he actually meowed the words "No", no, no. (we said it constantly). He loves to jump on things, most young cats do, but Mel is good at it. He loves to be petted/rubbed, and loves to cuddle. He is very lovable and it hurts me to give him up. He does not like getting his nails clipped - the Vet will recommend to give him "calming" medicine before they clip his nails.

Zoe is an adorable DSH calico female with stunning golden eyes. She was born approximately 7/22/2019. Zoe was turned into a local animal shelter where she was rescued before her time was up. She’s learning how to play nice with other cats and kittens and we’re sure she can become good friends if introductions are taken slowly. We’re not sure how she is with dogs, but we’re sure this sweet gal could learn to get along with anyone. Zoe is a sweet gal who loves people. She loves to snuggle up close to you on your chest or in your lap. When we’re watching television at night she loves to go back and forth between her foster Mom and Dad to make sure everyone gets her love. She’s also a feisty champion of catching feathers on wand toys or chasing mice and balls." Zoe was recently diagnosed with FeLV. Although she is young and healthy, she should be an only cat or be adopted into a family whose other cat(s) are current on their Feline Leukemia vaccinations. River is an adorable DSH calico female with beautiful golden eyes. She was born approximately 7/22/19. River was turned into a local animal shelter where she was rescued before her time was up. She’s learning how to play nice with other cats and kittens and we’re sure she can become good friends if introductions are taken slowly. River is currently shy with people, but you can tell that she really wants to make friends. She’ll flop next to you and purrs up a storm when you pet her, but is still working on the confidence to learn to be totally comfortable with being snuggly. She is very food/treat motivated, so with a patient owner, we’re confident she will soon be your best friend. River misplaced her tail somewhere, but she doesn’t let that slow her down at all. She loves to play and is great at catching feathers on wand toys or chasing mice and balls. River is currently in a foster home and his adoption fee is $105. Giselle is a gorgeous DSH calico female born approximately 5/1/2013. Giselle was adopted from New Beginnings as a kitten, but was recently returned when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a total love bug and just wants to hang out with you. She loves brushing, pets, treats, catnip, and mouse toys. She will get in your lap and sleep on your bed. She gets along well with other cats and dogs and is looking for her forever home. Giselle is currently in a foster home and the adoption fee is $105. Due to COVID-19, NBCR Petsmart isn't currently holding weekend adoption events. However, if you are interested in meeting Giselle, please contact us to arrange an appointment.
