Story
We adopted Parker from Safe Haven when he was two months old. He was born in Feb 2011. Parker listens well unless there is food around. He is food obsessed (not uncommon for dachshund breeds). He would probably do well in an environment where he could be spoiled. Currently I have a three year old and Parker often steals food out of his hand (he does not ever bite in the process). He is a chewer: diapers, trash, pacifiers, kids toys. Because of the food and chewing obsessions he will likely do best in a home with older kids or no kids. He does well on a leash. He barks a lot and occasionally bays. He barks at other dogs, people, cats, etc. but is never aggressive and is usually submissive if actually confronted with a meeting. He is fully potty trained, although when he gets super excited or scared (usually around new people) he sometimes pees a little. I regret that we need to rehome him, but we are moving into a smaller place and he needs a home that is not ruled by a toddler.

Story
Lucky is 9 pounds, 2 year old and is such a happy guy!He loves everyone and everything. We think that he would make a wonderful therapy dog because he really gravitates to animals and people not feeling well and tucks himself in with them. Lucky is 3 legged, his leg was amputated because of nerve damage due to a crushed paw, which is how he came to be in our rescue. An abandonded baby wandering around with a crushed paw, we had to help him! He gets around great with three legs, it sure doesnt get in his way- beds and stairs and walks are no problem for him. Lucky gets along with everyone- cats, dogs, kids...and is on the look out for his forever home. Lucky is heart worm negative, neutered, up to date on core vaccines and rabies, and he is also microchipped. Lucky will be such a blessing to anyone fortunate enough to have him as their forever dog. Story
Callie is a totally adorable pint sized Doxie Pitbull mix who is approx. 26lbs and she is being fostered in Beaverton, OR. She is 3 years old and one super cute kiddo! Her personality is full dachshund in that she is very smart and independent. She has overcome massive obstacles and in the infamous Doxie fashion and she has exceeded expectatinos of anything put before her! She basically has superpowers!. Here is a bit of her history: She was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. The foster before us told us that children tormented her in her crate, and she was reactive to people and animals. Without treatment for her epilepsy, she wasn't feeling well and was a grumpy girl. But now that has been recognized and treated, she is doing so much better in her foster home now. She is a snuggly, kissy face delight that can be somewhat tentative in new situations and with new people. But considering what she's been through, she has vastly improved and continues to improve every day! She absolutely needs consistency, patience, structure, and a whole lot of love. Our theory is that much of her past behavior is due to being epileptic. She would do best with a very calm nurturing family without loud noises/voices and little excitement. She needs her forever family to commit to working with her in small doses every day and give her meds consistently. She needs to be the only pet because she would love all the attention and because of her condition. She loves butt scratches, walking, laying in the sun, will tolerate being bathed and is a funny little girl! She is VERY smart so it is important that she is kept in a normal routine. She has been on her meds since August of 2019 and has been seizure free. She loves to talk when you are on the phone, snuggles in your lap, and really is a charming gal! If you are missing the love of your life and have the right situation for Callie, please complete an adoption application at the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60136667457159

Meet Red! He is a 5 year old dauschund that is in need of some serious TLC! He was part of cruelty seizure and when I got him he was covered in poop! His ears and his whole body and tail looked like someone had just rubbed it all over him. He is a very sweet dog, good with kids, cats and dogs. He appears to be housebroken and is crate trained. Please fill out an application on my website!

Story
Thor is a sweet little guy who loves to snuggle and be showered with love and attention. He's a tiny guy who weighs very little and has really soft fur and a silly tongue that sticks out one side of his mouth 24x7. He's very smart and learned to use the doggie door to go in and out by the second day of having him. He likes to go outside and explore things in the yard but always comes back in the house ready for treats or more snuggles. Speaking of treats...he LOVES all kinds of treats but appreciates the soft ones the most to his lack of a full set of teeth. Thor is bonded with his brother Oscar.  Thor also gets along well with our other dogs and is especially close with his bonded brother, Oscar. Where one goes, the other follows. They look out for one another too. Thor has not been cat tested by us. He sleeps through the night without any issues and takes numerous naps each day. He likes to be held, or is perfectly happy laying next to you or in your lap. Thor has an occasional accident in the house but for the most part goes outside to do his business. He's a mellow little guy who prefers a peaceful home without loud noises or hurried movements. Every Underdog has been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.  Adoption fee for Oscar and Thor is sponsored by the Pet Finder foundation.  We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application, we check references and visit your home as part of our adoption process.   To fill out our Adoption Application please visit our website:  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog To Learn more about Underdogs Rock!
