Story
This is tex. He is a senior daschund that needs a good home. Our home has been deemed un-livable and we have to move and cannot have dogs there. Its with a heavy heart I have to do this, as he is such a good boy. He loves to play ball, plays with bubbles and lounge around and watch t.v. with you. He is a senior dog, but still has a lot of life and love left in him. Please find it in your hearts to give him the warm loving home he truly deserves. Thank you.

Story
This is Comet!  His birthday is 3/29/16.  He is a bit shy when he first meets new people but then he warms up so would do well in a quiet home.  He was recently returned.  They say he isn't house trained but seems to be doing well in his foster home.  He seems to have some skin allergies.  We have changed his food to a grain free diet and give him a bath weekly to see if this helps his skin.  He misses his sister so he would probably do best in a home with another dog.        For further information please email the address in the box to the right. Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our dogs/cats will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped; and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in our homes with us so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. To fill out an application online or to find out more information about our adoption process, just go to www.friscohumanesociety.com and click on the 'Adoption Application' link. Dog/Puppy Adoption Fee- $165                 Cat/Kitten Adoption Fee - $135 **All adoption fees are subject to applicable Texas sales taxes.** Some of our adoptable cats can be seen at the Frisco Petsmart Adopt-A-Pet cat center 7 days a week. Adoption counselors are onsite every Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm. Our next Meet and Greet Dog event will be the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month from 12-4pm at the Frisco Petsmart.  The Frisco Petsmart is located at 3333 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX 75034 in the Stonebriar Centre near Tuesday Morning and DSW.

Story
Ranger is a rambunctious three-year old dachshund mix. His defining feature is his heterochromia, or different colored eyes. Despite being a rescue, he has a vivacious personality, loves to chase balls and play with his owners. He has been to dog obedience school and knows how to use a doggie door, various commands like sit, shake, down and come. Ranger is very intelligent and *only* plays with his toys. We keep a small supply of Kong and tennis balls on hand for him to play and chew on. He was abandoned so he likes to be near his owners. Ranger needs a home that is experienced with rescues and/or Dachshunds. By nature they are very protective of their owners and wary of strangers, so keep plenty of treats on hand when introducing him to new people - then he makes friends! He can be aggressive when playing and possessive with items. A family with *older* or no children is preferred. It will take work to get Ranger used to other animals in the home.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING OR ADOPTING THIS DOG, YOU MUST FIRST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT OUR WEBSITE AT http://www.littledogsbigheartsrescue.com/adoption-application/ Please do not send us a message saying you're interested in adopting without filling out an application. An application neither guarantees adoption nor obligates you to adopt- it's just the first step in our process. Name: Bixby Breed: Long-haired Dachshund / Chihuahua Gender: Neutered Male Age: Approx. 10 yrs 11 mos in Nov. ’18 Weight: Approx. 8 lbs Energy Level: Medium Apartment Appropriate: NO Good w/ Dogs: Small dogs Good w/ Cats: Unknown Good w/ Kids: No Comments: Bixby has returned to us because he he found apartment living too stresfful. His adopters were getting complaints about his barking. Hey- he’s mostly Dachshund, and Dachshunds like to talk! Bixby gets intimidated by things like hats and sunglasses and can take a minute to warm up to new people, but if you give him a minute and are gentle, he’s a snuggle baby. He also has some separation anxiety, so once he loves you, he wants to be with you as much as possible. All he wants is a kind person with a lap who enjoys cuddling. He may be a senior, but he still has a lot of love to give! Pictures will never do justice to how beautiful this boy is. If you’d like to give Bixby the forever home he’s looking for, please fill out an application to meet him today!
