I found this sweet boy at a Kroger near a busy intersection. He is chipped but his owner does not want him. I already have three dogs and do not have the capacity for him. He needs a loving furever family.

Story
Please meet sweet Sparkle, the Disney Dog!  Sparkle is a retriever/Dalmatian mix, and she is just precious.  We call her the Disney Dog because she has the most beautiful eye liner and expressive eyes, which make her look like one of the 101 Dalmatians. Sparkle is such a sweet girl and just loves her people and other dogs.  Sparkle is housetrained.  She is not a fan of her crate, but she is a good girl when left alone in the house.  A lot of times, Sparkle's foster mom will find her waiting by the window when she comes home. When her foster mom is home, Sparkle will nudge the back door when she needs to go potty.  Even though Sparkle does not like to be locked up in a crate, she does enjoy sleeping in hers when the door is left open.  Many nights, she will go to bed in her foster mom’s bedroom and end up sleeping in her crate in the dining room.   Sparkle is also wonderful with kids.  She is so gentle around them and even listens to their commands.  Sparkle also gets along with her 4-legged foster siblings and LOVES to play with them.  She is not a cat person, so no cats or other small animals!   Sparkle has a lot of energy when appropriate and LOVES to run.  She does have a bit of thunderphobia, but we are working on desensitizing her to that. She would do well in a home with kids and/or other dogs. She likes the activity and loves nothing more than to lie next to you and cuddle.  She knows when it's time to play versus when it's time to just hang out in the house and be calm.   Sparkle also LOVES (she loves a lot of things!) squeaky toys and enjoys playing with them a lot.  She also enjoys a short game of fetch.  She will bring the object to you, and if you ask for it, she will let it go.  She will do this about 4 or 5 times, and then she just prefers to chew on the toy.  So cute.   Sparkle knows basic commands and will follow them if she is awarded with treats. She walks great on a leash as well.  What a great girl!   If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please contact us at info@scoutshonor.org. To read about Scout's Honor's adoption procedures or to fill out an application for Sparkle, please visit our website at www.scoutshonor.org. Meet our sweet, lovable senior girl Sparkle. Don’t be fooled by “senior” this girl still has plenty of energy, love and spunk to last a long, long time.  Sparkle has been with us a long time, not because she is ever anything less than a total lovebug, but because she came to us with extreme thunderphobia. And we will tell you all about the beginning if you are truly interested, but nowadays her foster has a plan that seems to be working. On stormy days Sparkle either goes to doggie daycare or her mom works from home. The key is too not leave her alone during storms. Sparkle LOVES other dogs and would do best in a home with a canine sibling. She loves kids too and has even learned to live with a cat. Sparkle is now about 9-10 years old, about 45-50 pounds and is a Dalmatian, retriever mix. She loves toys and playing fetch. She hates crates and being confined but is a good girl left out in the house (without storms ) Sparkle is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting this sweet senior girl just fill out the application and we will be in touch soon.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oakley's foster reports he's a very affectionate and well-behaved dog, who gets along just great with people and other dogs (though we don't know about cats).  Oakley was rescued by an SPCA volunteer who thought he'd been dumped, and we discovered he'd been recently adopted from the shelter.  Yet Oakley was in excellent physical condition, with a beautiful soft, shiny and flea-free coat and had obviously been well cared for.  Neither the recent adopter nor his previous owner (traced through Oakley's microchip) returned our calls, just asking them if they didn't want him back, why not?  So we were left wondering why anyone would want to get rid of such a sweet and beautiful canine companion, whose worst crime seemed to be sleeping in his foster's favorite recliner?  The most likely answer is that Oakley has the wanderlust and jumps 4 foot fences with joyous abandon, though he did voluntarily return to his foster home (after several days!) by jumping back in!  Oakley also tends to bark excitedly at horses when they come up to the fence near him, so perhaps he chased livestock at his earlier home.  But he would make a wonderful family dog if they had a taller fence he couldn't jump, or for someone who could offer him plenty of exercise on leash or at a dog park.  As with all our rescue dogs, Oakley has been neutered and is current on his vaccinations, flea control and heartworm prevention.  His adoption fee is just $95.00 plus a one-time charge of $10.99 for his lifetime microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If you'd love to bring Oakley home with you please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online application.  Thanks for thinking rescue!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Duke is a handsome adult male Catahoula mix with stock dog instincts typical of his breed, also known to be very affectionate with their family! Looking at his athletic body profile we wonder if he might have some Greyhound or Whippet in him, with those long legs and delicate head.  Sadly his family decided to surrender him for adoption due to personal difficulties.  They advise that Duke might not be the best choice for a home with very small children, as he does his best to herd them together and keep 'em corraled!  Though he gets along fine with other dogs Duke does love to chase cats, so your feline friends would definitely not welcome him into the family.   Duke will do best with regular exercise and would make a wonderful walking or jogging companion.  His adoption fee of $95 includes completed neuter surgery and up to date vaccinations, worming, flea control and heartworm prevention. There's also a separate one-time charge of $10.99 for his lifetime, transferable microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If your 'grand duchy' could use a new Duke, please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to fill out an online adoption application.  Thanks for thinking rescue!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
