Story
Looks like: West Highland Terrier/Poodle mix Female, 13 years old (estimated), 15 pounds Fergie is a fabulous girl who is looking for a loving, mellow, calm spot to land! She has some significant visual impairment and is a bit unsure of the world around her, so would need a home that can keep her safe in this respect. She will likely need to be carried outside to go potty and should be in a home free from stairs or other potential dangers due to her vision impairment. She gets along well with other dogs, but we don't know how she is around children or kitties. Fergie came to us from San Jose Animal Care and Services so that we could address her medical needs.

Story
Lacey is one lucky pup! She came to AFRP from a local vet clinic after needing emergency surgery to remove a 26" shoe lace from her intestines. Happily, Lacey has recovered beautifully and she's feeling great. Lacey is a happy and playful 4-year-old, 11-pound terrier mix that gets along nicely with other small dogs. (She is reactive with large dogs.) She can be a bit fearful and anxious with new people and new situations, but once she feels secure her fun personality emerges. Lacey is a smart and somewhat stubborn and headstrong girl that is doing great with her potty training. She's looking for an experienced adult adopter (no kids) with time to give her lots of attention, can head-off negative behaviors and can consistently encourage good manners. She requires a friendly and playful small dog buddy in the home. Lacey can jump very high and she's an agile climber, so a very secure yard is a must. She has a history of pica (eating non-food items) and although she is doing well in her foster home, this is something an adopter should be aware of. Lacey is currently in foster care. To arrange a meeting with Lacey or to learn more about her, please fill out an online application.

Story
Introducing Berry! This sweet pup came to AFRP after his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Now, he's on the lookout for his furever home! Berry is your typical puppy, learning the ropes of life and how to dog properly! He will need a patient home with adopters who are able to be home with him throughout the day to continue his positive socialization. Berry's foster says he ALWAYS has his tongue out, even when he's sleeping! He absolutely adores getting pets and being around humans as much as possible. Berry does well with other dogs and would benefit from having another confident pup in the home, cats are unknown but any resident animal in the home should be introduced slowly and over time. Adult adopters or families with children over the age of 10 would be best for Berry at this time. It is important to note due to his coat type, Berry will require continued scheduled grooming to maintain the condition of his fur and prevent harmful matting. Berry is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be schedule once an application has been received, and approved. Please complete an onlline application located at animalfriendsrescue.org.
