Story
We have had Indiana for just over a year now. Right after we got him, we also adopted a blue healer puppy. The two became instant best friends. In May Blu was attacked by a dog in our neighborhood and we lost her. Since then Indy has been lost and out of sorts. My daughter has moved in and brought her two dogs, and he's not getting along as well with her boy as he is a big pittie, and plays too rough. He does great with kids, cats and smaller dogs. He's a great watch dog, he's kennel trained, house trained. I hate to give him up, but he needs a playmate, and more attention that he is currently getting.

Story
Angel was born on 1/20/18. She is the most beautiful dog. She is a German shepherd/Pyrenees mix around 80lbs. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is good with kids. She knows how to sit and come and is leash trained. She learns commands very quickly. She loves belly rubs and attention. She grew up in the country around chickens and barn cats. She loved the freedom of the country and being able to explore, we have recently moved to town. I can’t have her inside the house and I can’t give her the interaction she deserves so I’m putting her needs first. I will be choosy in making sure she goes to a LOVING home—finding her a family that can give her the time and attention she deserves is my utmost priority. She would make a great indoor dog with a little training. She does not do well with other dogs her size.

Story
Hi, I’m Sampson! I'm looking for a great home, and I just know there is one out there looking for me too! I am an almost 4-year-old super happy and wiggly and playful guy and weigh in at about 90 lbs. Though I did get pretty lucky in the looks department, I could really care less about all that because all I wanna do is tromp around and play outside and then kick back with my favorite people and wait for dinner to be ready :) I was adopted out into a home with 4 kids originally and would prefer a home without a lot of them now, I'm a low-key guy and that many kids was a lot for me. I would be fine with one or two older ones (around 10+). My anxiety got really high before I was returned and I'm currently on generic Prozac and am doing fabulous! I'm settling into my foster home just great and have a foster sister I love playing with. I would either prefer a no dog or one dog home (the dog MUST be little if there's one already in the home, around 20 lbs). I do love puppies, so if you wanted to adopt me and later on adopt a puppy, I would be fine with that, too! I am housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I'm also not a typical Lab mix, in that my foster mom has seen no destructive tendencies and hasn't seen me chew on any furniture and I would NOT be suitable for a dog park situation. I am a typical Lab mix, though in that I LOVE people, car rides, sleeping on the bed, and eating treats. If you'd like more info, email your number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com!

Story
Hey there! My name is  Tippy and I am a just a sweet as pecan pie 1.5 to two-year-old Plott Hound mix. I’m a proper Southern gentleman who is fairly calm and happy to be your best friend! I would love to have another dog to play with or I could be your one and only!  I'm neutered, vaccinated,  housetrained, and ride well in the car! I've got a SUPER mega-ultra-lovable, happy demeanor (I am a serious favorite around here!) and I have a heck of a lot more life and love in me! I came to the rescue heartworm positive, but I will finish my heartworm treatment in April. I can, will, and HAVE climbed a chain-link fence and put some miles behind me, so I really need a privacy fence or someone willing to walk me on a leash. I learned how to use a doggy door at my first foster home with one try, so I'm clearly a very smart pup! I've also lived with dogs and cats and got along with everyone! I have so much to give to my forever family, so email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com and someone will be in touch! And, yes, I do have an eye in there, it is damaged, but it doesn't appear to hurt me so the vet said it didn't need to be removed.

Story
Poppy's my name, and having fun is my game! Running, romping, tugging on toys, I want to do it all! I’m a 70 lb, approx two-year-old Pittie/Boxer and I’m looking for a home who can be patient with my puppy energy and goofiness. I do very well in a crate and am potty trained if you stick to my schedule. I need repetition to learn (my previous family abandoned me and never taught me the things I should've learned as a young pup), but I am very affectionate and will respond to loving and security. I do have an issue with eating stuff; I will snag your food if you aren't watching and I have a sock habit that I need to break, My family will have to be very aware and clean up after themselves! I love to play with my doggy foster siblings; I chase cats but never hurt them. I'm pretty good on a leash, but need more experience to be at my best! I'm just about as loyal as they come in this doggy dog world. My ideal home would be one where I can be loved on, cared for, and trained to be my best self. I was heartworm positive when rescued, but finished my last treatment at the beginning of November, My foster family has been focused on getting me healthy, but my foster mommy had an accident that made it hard for her to do a lot of work with me (and my foster daddy has been taking care of foster mommy). I am a very good high energy girl with a lot of love to give. I have room in this big ol’ heart for you now! Wanna go for a ride in the car? I call shotgun! Grab some ice cream? I’ll bring the sprinkles! Prefer more outdoorsy things? Cool, I’ll trot alongside you all up and down those river trails! Wanna lay low today? No problem, I make an excellent foot warmer at the end of the bed. Really, I just wanna be by your side. I am spayed, housetrained, and have had all my vaccinations. So, what do you think, got a little room in your life for a new right-hand lady? Let’s meet! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com!
