Story
Jax needs a quieter home. We adopted Jax last year when he was 6 months old. He was extremely fearful of everyone. After so much work, he’s become a very loving member of our house. Unfortunately he doesn’t like visitors and we have a super busy house. My special needs children have therapist in our home several days a week, as well as a big family that often stop by. Jax is now about a year and a half old, and while he’s wonderful with my children, the constant stress of people within our home has become too much for him. He deserves a quieter calmer house where he can thrive! He’s completely housebroken, loves his crate, great with kids. He’s skiddish around adults at first. Lives with another dog but doesn’t socialize with dogs in public well. Please give this boy a loving home!!!

Story
Kona is an amazing dog. Super smart. Obedient. House Trained and has never chewed or damaged the house in any way. Loyal. Wonderful around children. My 5 year old sometimes forgets Kona is not a jungle gym but Kona is fine with him climbing all over her. Never any issues. She is protective and utilizes her herding instincts more often then not. Kona can be stubborn at times but never defiant. We rescued a pup and Kona at times struggles with sharing her family and at times can become anxious if her family is not with her. Kona turned 4 on August 16th and would do best in a home that is loving, caring and respecting of her loyalties and space / boundaries. Kona is super fast and LOVES to run in the yard and play ball with her family. She is also very good with laying low and sleeping an afternoon away.

Story
On June 26, 2017, a good Samaritan watched Lucy’s “owners” throw her from a moving vehicle onto the busy street. They picked her up and brought her to th shelter where she stayed until a wonderful couple committed to fostering her. She was estimated to be between 8-12 months and our hearts hurt for her -- her eyes were sad and her spirit was broken. She spent the next few days settling into foster care but as she settled her anxiety grew. We don’t know what kind of life she had prior, but we know it wasn’t good. Fast forward to today and Lucy still suffers from anxiety and is on medication, which is helping! She's about 50lbs and is around ~2.5-3 years old. She absolutely adores people, but in the outdoors she is a little more nervous. She gets car sick and is dog reactive walking the streets of Philly. She is house trained, crate trained and has excellent manners. She loves hanging out in her fenced in yard and really enjoys sunbathing! She has a HUGE personality and is really, really funny -- she will keep you laughing. She rolls over for belly rubs, loves playing with toys, takes treats nicely and really, really wants a family to call her own. She’s been waiting almost 2 years in foster care and I think we all can agree she’s waited long enough! She is looking for special someone to love her and accept her for HER. She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and she does get along beautifully with her foster brother so we would have to do a meet with to see if she would like any pup you may have! She loves visitors and has enough personality to keep a smile on your face and your heart full. If Lucy seems to be the one for you, please apply! ##145740##
