Story
Before coming to AAC, Diamond only knew a life outdoors. She had spent her short life as an "outside only" dog, so when she got here, an enclosed kennel run was new to her, but she has adapted very well. She is a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she is an "absolute sweetheart" and very affectionate. She's been learning lots of new things. She walks great on her leash and, being treat-motivated, has picked up on basic commands. She is rather timid around other dogs and isn't really a fan of cats, so she would prefer a family all to herself.

Story
What a beautiful girl! After spending about 10 seconds with her, you are really drawn into her expressive eyes. Lilly was found with another dog we rescued, Elizabeth, in a very rural area of Georgia next to a pond. Elizabeth had had a litter of puppies, none of whom survived, but we think that Lilly may be one of her puppies from a previous litter. Lilly has shown curiosity toward both people and other dogs. She is very treat-motivated, which should help with training. Someone with a little bit of patience will be rewarded with a truly wonderful dog.

Story
Champ is the champ of car rides. He loves to go on trips in the car. He's slowly getting used to other dogs but has been very nice with puppies. Like all of our dogs, he will need a proper introduction to any new dogs that he may be around. Because of his size, he would do best in a home versus an apartment. He would also benefit from a big yard to run around in or in a home where he has the opportunity to go on long walks or runs or visit a dog park.

Story
Gunter is a smart guy and very treat-motivated. He is a quick learner and will really enjoy being taught his commands. He is very social with dogs of all sizes. He has been a bit sensitive to strong/loud verbal commands. He loves his chew toys, especially Kong toys with peanut butter inside. He tends to get very nervous around small, loud children so a home with older children would best suit Gunter.
