Story
Honor is 12 years old and 5 pounds. Honor was found as a stray with severe dental disease,a mammory tumor that was removed and benign and another tumor on her paw that was indeed had cancerous cells but the tumor was removed completely. Honor is using the pee pads if You don't get the door open quickly but she usually goes outside. She loves to go for walks and snuggle in her soft sided crate that she sleeps in at night and goes in for naps on her own terms, Her crate is her safe place. She sleeps under blankets or up in the window in the sun. She's good on car rides and is basically pretty quiet. Honor is generally not a picky eater and gets kibble with a little canned food twice a day. It takes her a few days to settle into a new routine. Honor is not the best around kids and prefers her space from them, so no small children please. She is great with other senior gentle dogs and cats. Available to travel. Story
Tulip is 3 years old and a chunky 13 lb. She loves dogs, cats and kids. Tulip is needy and loves attention. She does not have separation anxiety to the point that she ruins things, however she is a whiner and is always following you and pawing at your legs for attention. She needs a family that is home often and can give her all the attention she so much craves. Tulip is very social and great on a leash and harness. She says hi to everyone she meets and will be bff’s with every dog at the park and anyone willing to give her pets. She will quickly become the star of the show and a huge part of your family. Tulip would be a fantastic traveler and will go wherever you go, maybe we should have named her Shadow. Story
Marty the mini Coyote. 2 years old and ten pounds. Don’t let the grey muzzle fool you, he is actually very young and very vibrant. Marty has lots of energy, loves going for walks, kennels well, runs fast and does lots of zoomies. He is not overly barkey and loves people including well mannered children. He is persnickety with his dog company though and tends to be the dominant male dog. He does not do well with large dogs or other male dogs and prefers either female dogs or to be the only dog. He ignores the cats for the most part but will sometimes chase them. Marty is food aggressive and needs to be fed separately. He is a great dog to take on adventures and rides well in the car. He is very much a people dog and not so much a dog that wants to be part of a pack. He needs some work but he is a good boy and we hope we can find the right home for him. Marty can travel. Story
Mister Marbles. 10 years young and a short stocky and a tad over weight 9 lb. Marbles is a funny senior boy. He is potty trained and does well on walks with the leash and harness. He is pretty quiet and easy going. Mister Marbles does have a grumpy side to him at times, he grumbles and growls at the other dogs as they pass him by or try to snuggle into his bed, he grumbles and growls at the puppies when they are being too playful or when the big dogs interrupt his morning walks with a snout to the booty. For the complaining Mister Marbles does he has still never bitten or nipped or even tried to bite, he is just a complainer, we all have that one friend lol. He is happy with walks and snacks and sun baths and will do fine with other dogs or as an only dog. Cats are fine but we do ask no small children please. For being 10, a marbles still is fairly active for his age and likes to do his morning zoomies and go on adventures. He would make a fantastic travel companion but will probably always complain about the coffee. He can travel. Story
Hope is camera shy but certainly not a shy girl at all. Her paperwork says 11 months but she is probably closer to two years and is apx 11lb, short and stout. Hope is very confident and loves people and attention. She will choose a person over play time with another dog. She would be fine as an only dog or with siblings that do not mind her somewhat Jealous and bossy demeanor towards other dogs. Hope does play with other dogs of all ages and sizes but she likes to be the queen bee” . Walks well on leash with good potty manners. Cries a bit when crates but settles down with a toy or treat. Hope is a fantastic addition for the right home. She would do great with kids and does not mind much about cats. Story
Texas Chihuahua Rescue - Canada 6 hrs · Meet Banjo. He is apx 10-12 years young and 6.5 lb. he is a little old man that was confiscated by our San Antonio ACS under a cruelty hoarding case. He is the absolute sweetest most gentle baby. He loves people and other dogs and does not mind the cats. He does not bark but he does whine when he can not be with his human so a retired couple or someone that works from home would be best. He probably has some abandonment issues. Banjo does not mark. He is getting a dental next week and he will most likely lose the 6 teeth he has left. He does have some little old man moles but they do not appear to be anything to worry about. He needs a retirement home for his golden years. Everyone at the chi ranch just adores Banjo. Available in Canada only.
