Story
He will nip and bother people walking by the house if he sees them. He Will run out the door when you go out. Some people on walks he tries to bite. Not all people tho. Has some trouble at times holding potty all night long but will go by the door. Does fine during day. Can be scared of you because we've punished him but he needs someone with more experience in dogs. He is very friendly and loving and great with kids and loves walking and cuddling. Someone who could work out his kinks could have a great dog in him. Im pregnant and not up to training him.

Story
The other half of the “Golden Girls” duo, Rose has the most heart warming friendship with her partner in crime Dorothy. Though this gal is a senior, her mobility is still quite good. She enjoys walks with her fellow seniors and loves to stop along the way to nibble grass or watch squirrels. She loves snuggling up with Dorothy and is content to hang out wherever there’s a comfy spot to lay down. She’s great during car rides especially if her gal Dorothy is with her, they’ll both curl up in the backseat and snooze. Rose is as sweet as they come and this duo still has a lot of life and love to share with a special forever family of their own. Email or visit our website to submit an application!

Story
Dorothy is apart of our “Golden Girls” duo with her best friend Rose. Dorothy is always ready to soak up all the cuddles and massages. She has slowed down a bit in her old age, but what she lacks in speed, she makes up for in personality and charm. She enjoys short leisurely strolls around the rescue with lots of pit stops for grass-nibbling and taking in the scenery. She’s very patient when it’s time for nail trims, ear cleanings or bath time. An ideal day for Dorothy would include spending quality time with a human companion and her bff Rose on a big comfy couch with maybe a few treats here and there. She can be wary of strangers at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and happily accept snuggles from anyone! This duo would love to find a quiet forever home and loving family to enjoy their golden years with and trust us, opening your heart and home to a senior dog(s) is one the most rewarding things you can do. Watching them thrive and enjoy life as every senior dog should get to do is SO special. Email or visit our website to submit your application!

Story
Meet Stanley, the heart-throb of the senior sanctuary. “Stan the Man” is an absolute fan favorite. His charm and personality can win over even the grumpiest grump. Honestly we don’t know how this stud hasn’t been scooped up already. Stanley has the ability to fill the room with laughter and many “awww”s. Despite his rotund figure he is the most athletic of our senior crew and is a champ when it comes to walks. His lil legs move quicker than you’d expect and we’ve likened him to a guinea pig on a leash, squeaks and wheezes included. He’s such a comedic lil fellow and is constantly making us giggle with his silly noises. Belly rubs are essential and will be rewarded with his signature tongue “blep.” When he’s not scurrying on walks, hanging with his dog friends or getting belly rubs, he likes to spend time staring deeply into our eyes. Did we mention he’s a great listener? Falling in love with this guy isn’t hard to do. Stanley definitely has star potential, but all he really needs is a #1 fan, could that be you? Over his time with Northwest Dog Project he has he has met many fellow pups and is always the first one to break the ice and welcome the newbie with a wagging tail. He’s our one-man welcome committee but we think it’s about time for him to have his very own family. We believe Stan is around 8yrs old and roughly 6lbs. He would do great in a family with other dogs and has even been great around cats! Stanley is an easy-going low maintenance dude and easily adapts to new environments. What more could you possibly want in a pint size pup.
