Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Jamie (ccjamieballa@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Long, lanky and runs like a gazelle! That’s me. I’m IGGY, a BEAUTIFUL Brindle and White 85# gal 4 year old that originally came into foster care as a pup. Adopted, but due to weak owners, I was allowed to exert my strong “female” personality. Being a Dane/Shepherd mix, my energy level is high, as is my protective nature of my loved ones. Small animals are “too fun” so I chase, and I do nip in play, so small children are not best. Running, playing chase with my owners are great fun, my moves would put me as the best in the NFL as I zig and zag with tail flying high! A fenced yard needed to provide room to frolic and personality to glow. Although playtime is great,  I LOVE splashing in my pool on a hot summer day! Leash walking still needs to be perfected, yet I am eager to learn, SUPER SMART and with ongoing reinforcement of “Self-Control” and exercise I will SHINE! My house training also will need reinforced as I relearn house rules.   I dearly want my own family, hiking, walking or running buddy. Then at night we can curl up by the fire, a good book or just watching a movie. Yes, life has not been good, but I know better things are yet to come. Please consider meeting me, I won’t let you down! IGGY is EAGER to LIVE, LOVE and KICK UP SOME GRASS with YOU! Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Pearl is in foster care so please complete an application before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter. *Pearl has an adoption special right now. Her adoption fee is only $150. If you feel you are the right home for Pearl please fill out an app!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Kelly (kellymbetz1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POSTING BEFORE APPLYING.   Dolly comes from a WV shelter where she was brought in as a stray. It's incredible to think that someone would not want such an amazing dog.    This girl is a real love bug. She wants nothing more than to be snuggled up next to or on her people. She's very outgoing and loves attention from everyone.     As far as behaviors, Dolly is great in the car. She's house broken and  knows basic commands.  She is other dog selective, and she does become aggressive if challenged. Because of her potential reactions to other dogs, Dolly will not be suited for neighborhood walks or time at a dog park. She'll need a home with a fenced in yard where she can do her business without the possibility of a strange dog encounter. She also can't be placed with cats.   Dolly is built like an English bulldog: stocky and no tail. When she's happy, she wiggles her entire body. Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Dolly is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Cheryl (cyshelties@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Ginny was found in WV wandering all by herself. She was very, very thin, so this girl may have been on her own for quite some time. At some time her leg suffered a terrible painful break which did not heal properly, she has no issues using her leg and upon a veterinarian examination, it was recommended to monitor her as she grows and ages.    Further medical attention may be required. She is house and crate trained.     Ginny also loves running so an active person(s) that enjoys jogging, hiking or overall activities outdoors would be ideal candidates for Ginny's new adoptive family.     Ginny is also selective when meeting other dogs and should be an only dog.    She likes all of her humans undivided attention and who can blame her after being abandoned as a puppy with a broken leg.   She also will chase cats and is very bothersome to them.    Ginny is all heart and deserves a patient, loving, caring and very devoted special family.    Are you the family that will provide her with a safe forever home?    It is highly recommended that Ginny's new adoptive family have a secure,  physical fenced yard to help with her desire to run and play.  Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Ginny is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. She is a sweet dog who is looking for a nice quiet home to live out her life. Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Georgia (georgiastr@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Mellow ended up in rescue when he was attacked by a large dog in his home.  The owners deserted him at the emergency vet when they didn't have the finances to take care of him.  He had to have both eyes removed when they could not be saved.  He gets around fine but needs a fenced yard to wander around in.  He has adapted well to his foster home.  He has learned where all the stairs are and gets up them pretty easily.  He's still learning to go down - the drop is so big for such a little guy that can't see how far down he is going.  He loves toys with squeekers and being on someone's lap.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email his foster mom Georgia at georgiastr@comcast.net His adoption donation includes neutering, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Jennifer (Jlsetlak@aol.com) for more information about this pet.  Originally haling from WV, I’m a boy who found myself lost and alone. Picked up, brought to a shelter, I then was lucky and transported north into rescue. Life I thought was improving. Shortly, I found a home with a loving family only to be returned months later. I was “too energetic and playful” and still growing.  A solid 65# boy (needing to lose 5-10# now), it was decided I was a little stronger than anticipated. Slam, bam, bump and grind with all things flying as I move about showing excitement and thrill of life. (Guess older kids are best for me!)  Now at 7 years, I’m still looking for that “Special Person/family” to give me time, love, patience and guidance to make me be my best. Having little interaction with other dogs, I’m now needing to be the “only 4-legged” in the house. Still needing guidance, I try so hard wanting to play and be a buddy to you, my person. I am strong in play, so no small challenge for sure. I will need some leash work, house manners reminders and although once house trained, maybe some initial reinforcement of that process too. My zest for life is shown as I wiggle my way in play. I do soft mouth my ball and enjoy you teasing me as I play growl, wanting to only be loved. Exercise in a fenced in yard is top on my needs list along with your patience, encouragement and yes, play time/love time with you.  I pray for a home to allow me to live my life with love, attention and companionship. Moses, is looking for the chance to shine a light into your life, show my thanks and learn what a home life is all about. Will you give me that chance?    Moses is in foster care so please complete an application before meeting him. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required.
