Story
CALLING ALL" TRUE RESCUE" FOLKS! Scruffy needs you! He is a 5 year old Shih tzu mix still looking for his forever home. Even though he really loves his foster mom, we are trying very hard to find him his future person so he can finally get adopted! He needs a 1 person home with not much company and no children or visiting children. Other dogs and cats are okay. We know his cute face appeals to everyone, but he really needs an experienced, patient person who understands that some dogs need major warm up time, up to a week or two, before they want to be petted and cuddled. He has been waiting a long time for his special person, and we know he can make that person very happy. We just have to find you! If you think you are Scruffy's future mom or dad, please call us, email, or apply today! For more information please email us at dogs@lvpeaceablekingdom.info Applications can be downloaded at www.lvpeaceablekingdom.info All adoptions must be completed in person - we are unable to ship or transport dogs.

Story
Hi, there! I am a 9 year old Shih Tzu/Miniature Schnauzer mix named Scampi. Am I adorable or what?! But before you think I'm all good looks, please read my entire biography here, so I can find my forever home soon. There are many cool things about me: I know how to sit, give paw, dance on my back legs, and I take treats gently. I know how to potty outside, come when called, and know how to stay when my foster mom leaves the house. I love taking walks, but I am also happy to sit next to my people on the couch. Here's the catch: I am fearful of strangers. I am not friendly to people I don't know and trust. That means I need to go to a home who gives me a lot of time to be comfortable with them. I will come around, as it took me only a week to love my whole foster family, both parents and teenagers. But I may not want to be petted at first, and my future family needs to understand that. I have a lot of love to give, if you give me a chance. I will not be adopted out to a home with children to keep everyone safe and happy. If you think you are a a good fit for me and have any questions, you can email the volunteers at the shelter. dogs@lvpeaceablekingdom.info.

Story
Chao, it’s me, Cody! I’m a 12 year old Maltese. I can’t hear or see very well but I love BIG, once I warm up. I take awhile to adjust to new surroundings, but I’m very independent. I enjoy canine companions but I’d prefer a home with no little kids. I love me some nice doggy beds but I promise to snuggle with you all night. I’m still working on my potty training so I need an owner with some patience. I would love to spend my days with my new family all the time, as being alone is no fun. I’m currently in a foster home so please get your applications in to meet me!
