All dogs are from rural area shelters and brought into the prison where they live with the female inmates 24/7 and are taught all their basic obedience!

Hi, my name is Simba and my trainers say I am the sweetest cuddlebug they know. I am about 9 months old and we think I am a Shep/Lab mix. I am getting bigger each week and so far I am about 36lbs. I'm super gentle and laid back, but I love to train, especially if you give me lots of treats! I am getting along great with all my doggy pals here. I'm just a big baby boy and would love to hang out with you and your family. I am in my second week of training and I should be graduating by the end of February. So please check the adoption guidelines and fill out the paperwork so we can be together. I love it here, but I know I'll love being your best friend too!!

I am a chihuahua terrier mix, but don't let my 13 lbs fool you, I am smart as can be! I am quick to learn and get along great with other dogs. See my gorgeous ears? They are cute but they also make me somewhat noise sensitive so I hope when you adopt me our home is peaceful and quiet. My handlers in prison have been working with me on this noise sensitivity issue and I really am doing much better. I'm only about 1.5 years old so we have lots of years to love each other.

I'm new here in prison and right now am cautious and alert, but I'm starting to adjust to my new environment. I'm about a year old so I'm still a very playful pup. My handlers say I am very very sweet but my curiosity can get the best of me. I like to pull things into my crate and chew it up, like my bedding (or their pillow....ooops sorry ladies). I'll grow out of that with age, training and exercise. I can be a little timid when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly, and oh how I love to run and play with the other dogs! You should see me with the smaller dogs - I don't want to scare them so I get real low and I'm very gentle with them. Everyone is always saying how beautiful I am, especially my big bushy tail. I think I'm about 40 lbs but I'm done growing. I just started my training in January so I should be ready at the end of February but you could always put in an adoption application for me after looking at the adoption guidelines to make certain I'm a good fit for you
