Story
HI - I'M HENRI !  I'm a 2-year-old male Dutch Shepherd mix recently saved from a shelter. I was injured (hip issue) when I was saved, but am good as new now! I am very sweet and a bit shy, and would love a quiet home where I can be loved and cherished. Can you foster or adopt me in the new year? I weigh 61 lbs.  My adoption fee of $450 covers neuter, DA2PP shots, rabies, bordetella, heartworm test, microchip, health certificate, and other costs. Ginger's Pet Rescue is a nonprofit 501c3 organization.   Please  email  for an adoption application.

Story
Hi! My name is Rawley and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 11/17/2023.I weigh 59.5 lbs and am considered a large breed dog.I`m a Dutch Shepherd! This means I am SUPER intelligent and come with boundless energy to get any job done. When I say I`m smart, I really mean it - I know how to open doors, flip latches, and scale/jump fences over six feet high! Oh, I also know all my basic commands and am potty trained too. I`m very outgoing with people but would probably do best in a home with teens or adults only due to my energy level. It will be super important that my new family does research on my breed and is sure they can provide the kind of active lifestyle I will need. A home that can commit to taking me for high intensity exercise like running, hiking, swimming, or agility classes multiple times a week would be an ideal match. It will also be important to keep my brain working. I`ve mastered even the most complicated food puzzles here at RASKC and am looking forward to trying out new puzzles and games at home.My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Meet Rhea! She is a sweet, cuddle bug who needs a lot of love and training to succeed. She loves people, and is very cute and fun to play with, but has a lot of behavior issues that hold her back from reaching her highest potential. I will be moving to San Diego, CA, and am taking care of my nephew, all while doing school - so at the moment, I do not have the time to give her one-in-one focused behavioral training so that she may overcome her behavior issues and be the best dog she can be. With an experience dog trainer, she would be a great companion!

These pups are in Bothell, Washington too!

Story
Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! Hello, my name is Apollo, my birthday is 11/12/18, and I am a Scorpio….what is your sign?Oops, TMI, too soon?I was told to have a strong “PICK ME” line to introduce myself !!😊 According to my zodiac sign, I am energetic as well as expressive…..very true! Sensitive and intelligent; I have lots of learning to do and lots of time to do it!! My heritage is German Shepard and Black Mouth Curr hybrid...but, I don't run on petrol and electrical, I run on snuggle, hikes, and milk bones...yummmy!! At 10 months young, I weigh approximately 50 pounds, so will likely end up a bigger sized adult dog (just guessing, around 60 lbs.).I love food, so I need a family that is up for a daily hike or walk around the blocks. I am a fun loving dude who loves tug-o-war with my sibling foster pups, following foster mom around the yard and house, and snuggling with my foster family.I am an exceedingly sweet and loving pup. Foster mom says I play well with dogs of all sizes and do fine with cats (unless they take off running, and then I think that they want to play "tag"!!) If you are looking for a pup that is willing and eager to learn, likes long walks and adventurous hikes, I hope I had you at “hello”!!

"You've got a friend in me You got troubles, I got 'em too There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you We stick together, we see it through You've got a friend in me" 1995, Randy Newman These lyrics from the hit song, "You've got a Friend in Me" absolutely could have been written about me! You won't find a more loyal and devoted dog in the world! My Foster Mum is my hero, but we live in an apartment with two cats and we all know that I would be happier with my own person/people and a yard. I am an athletic guy and would LOVE an action/adventure person/family to go hiking and swimming with. Did I mention I LOVE being in the water!! Swimming and splashing about is my favorite pastime. My hairytage combines the two awesome breeds of German Shepard and Siberian Husky. With genetics from two continents, I am one intelligent and resourceful pup!! From my Russian ancestors (Husky), I inherited hardiness, high energy, and a strong work ethic. My European breeding (GSD) accounts for my courage, loyalty and obedience. I am a bit stand offish when meeting new people, but once I understand your kind intent towards either me or my Foster Mum, you are in my circle of trust for life!! Then, the party is on! I am ready for a serious game of fetch and Tug of War!! My Tug of War rope is my favorite toy, but I really enjoy tossing around all of the other toys, as well. I pretty much ignore my meowy roommates and leave them to their cat nip and cat naps; I am a DOG and have important stuff to do!! I stand guard at the window and wait for Foster Mum to get home so we can go walking. I am good with other medium and large sized dogs, after a proper introduction. My play style is a little rough for small fry doggies. I know basic people pleasin' behaviors like sit, stay, shake paws, and I wait for my food bowl until I am told it is ok to approach. I am crate trained and never have potty accidents in the house! At 3 years young, I have reached a powerful, muscular weight of 70 pounds. I would do well in obedience or agility training with a strong and confident trainer. I have a lot of learning to do and need someone who will love me and guide me to lead my best life. If you are looking for a true friend and companion that is "doggedly" loyal, you've got a friend in me!! I hope that you will fill out the online application and adopt me today!! "And as the years go by Our friendship will never die You're gonna see it's our destiny You've got a friend in me"
