Story
My name is Conner. I am the last pup left in my litter. I am around 5 months old. I'm close to lbs. My mom looks like a Whippet/Lab mix, and they aren't too sure who my dad is. I am in a home with other dogs and am often around children, I do great with everyone. I am looking for an active family that will keep me busy and exercised. I would also love to just lay around and snuggle. I am working on potty training, but my adopters will have to help me learn completely. Right now, this pup being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring the pup to their new family, once they am adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos! He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Story
Bixby is a 1 year old 95lb Great Pyrenees mix. He is very smart, sweet and loves to snuggle with his people. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is always willing to play with them! He is an outdoorsy fellow who would enjoy a big fenced yard, or farm/barn life. Bixby knows his basic commands and plays very well with the people he knows. He can be very protective of his people and because of his size and training needs; he needs to go to an experienced dog owner, and to a home that does not have small children. With proper training, which Pet Rescue will help with, he would be a very loyal companion. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Pet Rescue will be considered.

Story
Crystal is approx 5 yrs old and 68 lbs, we believe she is a Great Pyrenees mix. She loves puppies and is a great dog all around... She is deaf... but that does not seem to impair her at all!!! She is very quiet and a really sweet dog, she loves having a companion to curl up with and loves her doggie bed. When we rescued her,she was not in good condition and now looks like a real dog again!! She has a beautiful coat and is still putting on some much needed weight. She is NOT high energy and would just love a nice loving home and a companion OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only. WE REQUIRE TWO YEARS OF VETS RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER The total adoption fee of between $550 (CT, NY, PA, RI) and $675 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchipped. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say hello to our very own sweet, loving Charity! Charity may have spent the first part of her young life on her own, but she now enjoys being showered with affection from people who love her. Initially timid and shy, Charity has quickly settled in well at her foster home and is a cuddly girl with her humans. Charity loves being outdoors playing, but also prefers to be indoors with her family. As with other dogs of her breed, one of her priorities is to make sure there are no intruders to their property. Charity is not shy about showing her affection to her foster family or anyone who shows her kindness and affection...her favorite pastime is to rest her head in her foster mom's lap and get petted! Just like her Pyr ancestors, Charity is extremely smart and learned to sit on command after just a few days in her foster home. Although she walks great on leash, she is also working with a professional dog trainer to learn more manners; especially overcoming fears about unfamiliar things. Charity is treat-motivated and very good about taking direction. Charity has 3 wishes for her furever home: 1. Loving humans who will pamper her and give her all the love she missed out on in her young life; 2. A confident, experienced leader who can guide her and help her thrive with daily kindness, love and patience; 3. A nice big fenced in yard to run and play in. Will you be the one to grant Charity's wishes? NGPR Pooch Profile Name: Charity in OH Age: Approx. 3 yrs 3 mos old as of Jan. 2020 Color: White Dew Claws: Yes, double Estimated Adult Weight: 80 lbs Current Location: NGPR approved foster in Warren, OH Medical: Spayed, dewormed, negative for heartworm, up-to-date on vaccinations and currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Housebroken: Yes Can be Placed With: Prefers to be the only dog, Older teenage kids, No cats. Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed. Charity will need a 5 ft fence. Fees: Adoption Fee $375. NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases. Please visit our ADOPTION CENTER to complete the application form and learn more about Pyrs and our adoption process. Thanks. About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sugar Bear is as sweet as her name. She's a Pyrenees/Akbash mix, which we have found to be an excellent combination of breeds. Akbash are taller and lankier than Pyrs and can be energetic jumpers, so a good sized yard and 5 foot or higher fence are a must.  Their beautiful white coats are shorter and easier to maintain than a Pyr coat but they still shed and need brushing. Sugar Bear is a gentle dog who loves to be with her people. She is happy to sit when you ask her to, then will give you “the look” like she`s waiting for her next command.  Her dark liquid eyes say she is hanging on your every word!  No one else will ever look at you so lovingly.  If you think you might be the family lucky enough to  adopt our beautiful and intelligent Sugar Bear,  please click on the adoption application link below. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Gracie and I am living at the NGPR Kennel in Ohio. I have been there a long time. I am three years old as of March and weigh approximately 85 pounds. Everyone tells me I am beautiful and they especially comment on the hair on my head based on the weather. I am looking for a foster home and someone who will believe in me and work with me to overcome some of my fears. I should be an only dog, though I might get along with a submissive male but there would have to be slow introductions. There should be no small children in your home. I do get along with the cat at the kennel. I am also very slow to trust and when I first meet you, I will bark at you and you will think that I don’t like you but take me for a walk and you will be my new best friend! I love to play with sticks and balls outside. Right now I am not comfortable around new people but I can be very loving once I get to know you. Trust is an issue for me because of my previous life with people especially children not being kind to me. If you think you might like to work with me and get me ready to be adopted, there are many people at the kennel supporting me and they would love for you to meet me!
