Story
Hi! My name is Miso and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on November 18, 2023. When I first arrived at RASKC my hair was severely matted and I was terrified of everything. After a little TLC from my caregivers and vet staff I`m finally showing my true colors!I must admit I am shy at first, but when I get to know you I`m truly a sweet heart. I love treats and can be won over that way!Due to my shy nature I would thrive best in a home without younger children (fast movements and loud noises scare me).My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com Adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/193648405513157 ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. How gorgeous Tony ended up in a police pound in Shanghai China we will never know. We do know that once dogs enter police pounds in China they don’t make it out alive. Our fearless Chinese rescue partners managed to get Tony and his 3 poodle friends out the back door and asked if we could help find them forever homes. Tony is currently in a foster home with other dogs and adjusting well. Tony is sweet natured high energy pup and would do best with an active household. Tony will need work with potty training and basic obedience. Tony has not been around young children. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Tony is about two years old and weighs about 14 lbs. Based on his appearance we believe he is a poodle. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Tony is microchipped, has been wormed twice. Tony has luxating patella on both hind legs; grades 1 and 2 . Our vets have recommended that surgery is not necessary. This sweet boy has been through trauma and many transitions in his short life and is depending on us to find him the best forever home possible. With that in mind we are looking for a home where there is another dog present and someone is home majority of the day or has the ability to bring Tony to work with them. He needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give him unconditional love. Please only submit an application if you are ready to adopt now and willing to go through our process. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people who are not ready to commit. Please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately not able to respond to everyone. We appreciate your understanding. Tony has an adoption fee of $995

* For a faster response please apply online at www.6dogrees.com Seeking adult Female home only! Remi prefers to be the only dog but does like small female dogs. Meet "Remi" he is a 4 year old, healthy, adult male Poodle mix. Remi is so cute and has smiley button eyes. He is very smart, knows basic commands and will dance. We are seeking a adopter with dog experience, committed to his needs and not s first time adopter. Remi is very food motivated which is great for training, but his portion control of a regular diet and exercise must be maintained. Basic obedience training is required to master recall and bonding with his new people. Remi weighs 12.5 pounds is dog selective, he likes smaller female dogs, is happy as a solo dog, and likes toys. He walks well on a leash, and requires a min. of 2 walks per day. Remi is semi active - yet will chill and be calm when the time comes. He is crate trained and happy with a good bone or denta styx. Remi is from a very overcrowded shelter in CA We know very little about his past history. He was with a female owner his whole life and does not really care for men. Remi is seeking a home that will allow him to be a part of the family. Remi needs a adopter who is familiar with his breed mix, active, and willing to do training to help him get past his fear of men. He requires grooming every 6 weeks and bathing in between grooms. Remi would be a great companion dog for a semi-active household without cats or kids, and will inclued him as part of the family. Remi is a inside dog, and considered to be "hypo allergenic" He is a smiley, handsome, sweet, loving boy. As mentioned, he would benefit from continued basic obedience & socialization training he is super smart, and surely will be the star of his class! The ideal home would be active, stable and routine. Remi is very intelligent, and he catches on fast! He has energy and would be a great walking or hiking companion. A fully structured fenced yard is required unless a Condo owner, he can not be left unattended in a yard. If away from the home longer than 4 hrs a dog walker is required for a potty break. No off leash dog parks or 1st time adopters. Please submit an adoption application at www.6dogrees.com if interested. The tax deductible adoption fee is $650.00. Fee's are not negotiable. The fee is needed in order for us to "save it forward" for the next dog.The fee covers spay/neuter, hernia repair, microchip, vaccines, deworming, rabies, nail trim, and grooming. Story
Chloe was turned into the city kill shelter by her owner as a euthanasia request. We cannot imagine why. The shelter begged us to help her. They didn't think she should be euthanized for no reason. She does have a slight limp on her right leg, along with some hair loss and skin infection, but this little lady doesn't deserve to die because of it. We took her directly into our vet for x-rays and to treat her skin infection. The x-rays revealed that she has some arthritis in her right knee and has some neurological issues in her spine that can be managed very well with Adequan and pain medication. We have had our vet do a dental cleaning on her and have started working on clearing up her skin. We have also put her on a diet (she's a chunky monkey) which will ease the issues with her back and knee. Chloe is a miniature poodle mix who currently weighs 23 pounds. She is 9 years old. She is very, very cute and super sweet! She would love a new home with a family that will take care of her properly. She still has a lot of life and love left in her to give and would make the perfect companion for almost anyone. Chloe's adoption fee is $485 (that includes ground transport from Houston, TX to the Seattle, WA area). Transport is arranged to her adopter upon completion of adoption. She has been fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped so she is ready to go! Chloe is currently in her foster home in Sheridan, TX.

Story
Toby is a sweet, loving, adult poodle (mix) boy around 10lbs. He has a docked tail that he loves to wag when he is excited and typical poodle fur,  We don't know what kind of dog he is and we are just guessing - he doesn't shed much but we cannot say if he is hypoallergenic.  He gets along great with other dogs and people and is super sweet.   He does have a cherry eye in the pics/video - we will have him get surgery to correct this before he goes home!  He is working on housetraining and his adopter will need to be prepared to work with him to train him. His fee is $850. FAQ (please read before emailing!!!) If the ad is up, the dog is available, We are not first come first served and your app can be denied for any or no reason.  We match pets to the best fit home. All dogs are in Houston TX no matter what the ad says anywhere else.  Please do NOT ask where is the dog located.  The answer is Houston TX No dogs will be cat tested nor tested with babies. You cannot meet prior to adoption.  Approved adopters can Facebook video chat only after submitting an application that is approved. **** No questions will be answered unless an application is submitted prior. **** We do not have enough volunteers to answer every single random inquiry and filling out the application shows you are serious.  If you are approved, you can ask all the questions you want. Transport is either via ground/truck (if the dog is a good candidate) or via flight that the adopter pays for.

Story
Meet Casper, who is about the cutest, little white bundle ever to be seen! He's about 7 years old., but don't think that means he's slowed down! He's looking for a person/family who is home most of the time. He can be a mellow gentle dog, but also loves activity. He's a great little snuggler. He has a young side and likes playing with his people and his toys. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and is a sturdy little companion on walks or trails. Because he is small (about 11 lbs), a home with adults and older respectful children is a must. Casper would do best as an only dog. He is good with other dogs, except will occasionally snark at other dogs (no contact) around his toys. It's pretty mild and with a little positive training, it could be reduced. He is house trained but also is sometimes a marker in his house. His foster mom keeps him in a "belly wrap" when he's indoors. Over time, as his comfort level has increased, he's not marking much at all. In a home with no or only one other dog, that would probably go away. Usually we don't require fences for our pups but this guy really enjoys having some time in his yard with his person so we will be asking that his future home have a fenced yard. He really doesn't like being crated during the day but will sleep quietly in it though the night. But what he really hopes for, is a home that will let him sleep in the humans' bed. He can be left in the house by himself. He won't destroy anything but may be anxious and will need to wear his belly wrap. This little guy is ready to settle down and enjoy the rest of his life with people who really care for him and will give him the good life he deserves!!! Casper's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, up-to-date basic vaccines, rabies vaccine, and microchip and dewormer. Please complete an application at: https://forms.gle/bSkgpdm6ZX7yH5Ef9 Questions? Contact us at connellpetrescue@gmail.com Thank you (& most of all, Casper thanks you!)!
