Will you give him a chance?Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heartworm preventative, heartworm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.

If you can't tell from my photos, I am a happy boy who loves to play with toys. To be honest I am not particularly good at returning them to you but I can entertain myself for hours if you will buy me a ball, or a rope, or a tire, or a.... you get the point. I would love to go home with a family who is active and loving because then they would match my personality perfectly. Do you know someone like that? Are YOU someone like that?

Story
Zina was adopted and halfway trained to be an emotional support animal. She is a sweet and loving dog but needs more experienced owners to train her and tame her feisty and funny attitude. Due to her being a young and big dog we recommend a household without kids, teens and adults only. She is socialized and is great with other dogs but not other animals such as cats.

Story
45lbs high energy, puppy like playfulness, crate & leash trained. Knows here, heal, sit, stay, shake, lay down. House broken. Never had any health problems. Never been around kids younger than 7, never been around cats. Dog friendly on a case by case basis, but would do better as the only dog. Having to rehome due to not getting along with my other dog. We've hired trainer after trainer trying to help us, all have said the same thing after working with her- that she needs to be the only dog. She's a silly girl that loves to play, grabs her leash when she wants to go outside, loves to play with toys and tennis balls! Loves to wrestle and play rough but also loves to cuddle. She's a really good, protective little girl that deserves a better quality of life than what I can give her. Please feel free to ask my any questions!

Story
Hello - my name is Red. I was found on the side of the road after being either hit by, or thrown out of a car. Despite being a senior dog, I had no broken bones. A nice lady took me in and took me directly to the vet. The vet checked me out and said I was in very good health. He gave me all of my shots and tested me for everything. He ended up giving me antibiotics to take care of the infection of gravel still under my skin. It was keeping my hair from growing so I looked very bald. Since then, I have gotten so much healthier. My fur is almost a hundred percent grown back, and I am soft and very pettable. I currently live with two other rescue dogs. I am able to play with and go on walks with the younger dog, and I am sweet and caring to the older special-needs dog. I am however a little overzealous with cats, so I'm looking for a home that may have other dogs, but no cats. I am at the stage in my life where I enjoy one walk a day and a nice yard to sit in the sun. I am very chill and like to take naps and look out the window. So if you're a good family, looking to give a rejected senior dog another chance at life, then I'm the dog you're looking for. I can't wait to give you sweet little kisses. Love, - Your soon to be forever dog Red… If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Red is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

Story
Whiskey’s DOB is July 22, 2015 - he’s a 4 year old pittie / boxer mix and is the sweetest thing on earth. He lives to sleep you with and snuggle all night long, he is very food motivated and with sit and stay for treats, we also gave him small training treats after using the bathroom outside everyday to get his routine down. Whiskey has never shown aggression towards people or destroyed anything in his foster’s house. He does like to chew on his bones and tough kong toys (no plush toys), and you always need to walk him with a harness!!  We were told he was a street dog for years before he came to the shelter and he has small scars on his face from his street life, but he’s still so sweet. He’s fully grown at 61 pounds and just wants love, pets, and attention. He’s up to date on everything and is very healthy. You’ll love this sweet boy! Story
Hodor is one great big goofball. He is funny, stubborn, sweet and protective. Hodor has been through 7 weeks of dog training and is very well mannered. Knows door boundaries so he’ll never leave the house without you! Can sit, stay, come, lay down, fetch and where his bed is when you tell him “go lay down”. Hodor is food and toy aggressive with other dogs. Can learn to share but needs time and reassurance. Hodor is such a big sweet baby. I love him dearly but want him to have a life with a big backyard and someone to always be home with him. This handsome man deserves the world.
