Update from Edwards Foster Mum Edward is a very soft, kind gentle little soul, he enjoys for you to rub his belly & give him lots of love once he has built trust with you. We have not even heard Edward bark yet. He absolutely adores his toys & likes to keep his stuffed toys with him & loves to be on big comfy blankets & his bed. He has come along way since we first got him, he did not want to move or do anything & was completely shut down but now his beautiful personality has slowly come out. Edward already had a very rough start to his life. His mum Ella was found on the streets on Beijing & then taken to a shelter in China where she was in the shelter for almost all of her life but ended up being pregnant & a rescuer looked after her while having her 3 beauty little puppies. The rescuer was paying for Ella & her babies to stay at this shelter so nothing would happen to them while trying to find someone to further help them. The rescue let us know that someone in Seattle had adopted her daughter & that Ella & her 2 other puppies were still there & needed help so we rescued all 3. Poor Edward ended up staying in the shelter his whole life along with his brother until we were able to bring him home where we are now looking for that amazing family to continue to change his life. Edward has the personality of his mum & his brother to, he also takes everything in, but is a lot more shy & reserved & needs time to build that bond of trust with people. He also is a watcher, he will just sit calmly & take everything in around him even if there is craziness going on around him. Edward needs a home where his new people will be patient with him because everything is very new to him as he has never had a warm bed or blankets, he has never slept inside a loving home, he has never had his own toys or a walk with a family around the neighborhood, nor ever seen or heard a tv in the background so every little detail is new to this sweet little man. Edward enjoys his food especially wet food as this was the first time of every having it along with treats. Edward also finds comfort in dogs, so a dog he can snuggle with is something very important for in his new forever home. Edward has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs including his beloved brother so he must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home as he truly loves other dogs & is very dependent & needing of other dogs, they make him feel secure. Edward is is roughly 22.0 lbs, 12 months old, male & maybe a Schnauzer Carin Terrier mix & still needs to put on weight which we are working on, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots, heart worm negative & dewormed. Edward has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We are calling Edward a sheltie beagle mix based on looks. We do not know for sure what breed Edward is mixed with & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Edward’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Edward & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Edward who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Edward has an adoption fee of $650

Story
Goofy is an 15-20;b little cutie around 1 yr old. He's the happiest and most snuggly dog ever - just wants to be in your lap or getting belly rubs!! This guy is of unknnown origin and the breed mix is just a guess. He walks well on a leash and watches Netflix like a pro! He is calm and well behaved and gets along with other pooches as well as people. He is a wonderful snuggler but doesn't enjoy dog parks and would prefer to be a solo pup or one small friend just to get all the attention although he is never aggressive. He does shed and is not hypoallergenic. He is fostered in Houston TX (please do not ask his location - it is Houston TX no matter what it might say elsewhere) so you cannot meet prior to adoption. His fee is $850. Email houstonstreetdogs@gmail.com for an application. He has not been and will not be cat/kid tested because his foster doesn't have either.

Story
Meet Lilo LW Name: All my friends call me Lilo, named after the little girl in the movie Lilo and Stitch. I know, I know, I have Stitch’s ears tho, but Stitch is described as very muttchievous and I am not muttchievous one bit. I am THE good girl. Favorite Movie: Pippi Longstockings. Not just because I have long white socks, copper red hair and superhumanly strength. She is fantastickal and fun and silly and makes every one happy. Plus she has a monkey as a pet and that would be totally banannas. Age/Weight/Breed: I sport a red cardigan sweater over a very starchy white shirt. I am 7 months old and weigh 35 pounds. I might still be growing and could easily get up to 50 pounds. I am listed as a Corgi mix. Theme Song: Ow, she's a brick house, she's mighty-mighty, just lettin' it all hang out. And by “it”, I mean my tongue, it’s hanging out. Foster Mommy says I am a very sturdy lady, so you will litterally hear She’s A Brick House by the Commuttdoors playing every time I bounce into the room. High School Superlative: Most Outgoing. It is true true, I go outside for my potty breaks, but I think I would want to be voted Most Ingoing, because I love to be inside with my Foster Family. I am crate trained and potty trained. Good With Other Dogs: I easily make friends, because I have no pompous aspawrations to be the leader, I am very content being the bottom rung on any ladder. At my Foster Mom’s house there are 6 other doggies. Class Schedule: I am being home schooled just like all the kids. My favorite class is recess when I get to throw my bones in the air and jump around to catch them. I always miss, but it is fun to try. I am making A’s in the class called Good Girls 101, we learn not to nibble on people hands or jump on their clothes. I have a Basic Skills class where I learned “sit” and sorta “stay” sorta. Favorite Toy: Does a leash count as a toy??? I get excited when I see it because I love going on sniffathons. I also like my toy bones, stuffy animals, and I have been known to get down with an antler bone too. If you adopt me, I hope you can take me to the Pet Supply store and I will pick out a new stuffy animal. Probably a monkey. How does that sound??? Cliff’s Notes: Lilo LW- female, 7 months, 35 lbs in March will likely be 50 lbs, Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix, red/white, great with all dogs, very active, playful, happy, submissive, potty and crate trained, loves leashed walks, fun girl GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our puppies are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested if not started on heartworm preventatives early, and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $500 for puppies under a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs will remain as a permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!! Story
Meet Layla! This beautiful girl is happy and playful.  She loves people and is a kind and affectionate girl. Her look is so unique. DNA says she is a mix of collie and husky but we are not sure we see that! Layla is nearly 3 years and weighs 56 lbs and a show-stopper with long legs and a sleek and graceful face. She is smart, easy to train and well-mannered. She knows sit, down, shake, touch, come, leave it, roll over, shake and treat. She will love a home with a yard and another dog in the home to play with.  It is so fun for her! She needs a proper intro but then she is set for fun.  Layla is good with other dogs and enjoys playing. She can be frustrated greeter with other dogs when she is on the leash so a gentle introduction is best.  Layla will love a more quiet household. She loves a consistent schedule and adores when her people are home with her. She does not love car rides and being out and about a lot.  Layla is vaccinated, chipped and spayed.  Her adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
