* For a faster response please apply online prior to requesting a meet and greet. Apply at www.6dogrees.com Meet Lucy! Lucy is a spayed, female 5-year old 18-pound Shih Tzu mix, and her adoption fee is $495. Lucy is a special needs girl and is looking for an adopter that has significant experience with rescue dogs. Lucy needs to be in a one-animal family that is willing to give her the all the time needed to decompress and become comfortable. Lucy is a beautiful girl, but does not trust people nor other animals. She loves stuffed animals and surrounds herself with as many as she can gather – stuffies make her happy and sooth her. Lucy is potty-trained, walks well on a leash, and loves her crate (it is her safe space). We are seeking a loving home that will include her as part of the family, providing unconditional love throughout her lifetime. Lucy is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, they should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Lucy will require: - A grain-free diet. This will help keep him healthy and her coat beautiful. - Grooming. Lucy is a non-shedding dog that will require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. - A fully fenced yard. Fences help protect rescue dogs and establish boundaries. If interested please submit an adoption application at www.6dogrees.com if interested. The tax deductible adoption fee is $495.00. Fee's are non-negotiable. The fee is needed in order for us to "save it forward" for the next dog.The fee covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, rabies vaccine. If interested please submit a adoption application at www.6dogrees.com we seek the best "fit"home for our dogs. He is fostered north of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15-minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the State of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we “Save it forward”; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.

Story
Cha Cha is a sweet little senior spitfire (aro 10+ years) who may not see and hear like she used to, but still loves exploring the great outdoors and then settling in for a good snooze! She’s an independent soul who forges her own path as she goes, and gladly welcomes other calm, easy-going dogs and cats along for the ride. Her partial blindness and hearing loss does cause her to surprise and startle easily, so she will need a patient family who will help her navigate safely (we’re recommending children over the age of 10). She’s been eating special UR wet food which she loves! She doesn’t mind being crated, and even goes there for naps sometimes. Cha-Cha is partially blind, she receives daily eye medications. She does see shapes and can get around fine once she figures out the lay-of the land. She was donated a Halo for added safeness while in the yard. She loves walks and would do well with an active family. She’s just waiting on her dental surgery, which will be completed prior to adoption. All other medical has been taken care of. She has a 2/3 grade L side heart murmur that does not need medications at this time and has been cleared for anesthesia during dental, eye medications, complete lab work up, vaccinations and fully vetted. For more information on Cha Cha, please fill out an adoption inquiry form on the Charlie’s Foundation website https://www.charliesfoundation.com

We are grateful their owner, who had other emergencies ongoing, was open to us taking them for a better life ahead.  They are now all groomed, doing so well and loving their foster home! They are both now updated on shots, spayed and neutered and will be chipped!  Together they are $550.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
