Story
Hi, my name is Gayle and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Apr 03, 2023. I can be a bit of an introverted pup. I like having my own space at times and prefer quiet time with my person or people compared to big social gatherings. I have a lot of love to give, you just have to give me a little bit of time to show it all to you!

Story
Hi! My name is DK and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on September 13, 2023.I weigh 51.5 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I haven`t shown too much interest in treats or toys while at RASKC. My caregivers mention that I`m all about the people and not materialistic :)My caregivers also mention that I appear to be potty-trained!I can be shy at first, but I warm up quickly and then show my energetic side. I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. Due to that face I would do best in a home with older children. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Alita is an Australian Cattle Dog Mix who’s about 2 years old. Unfortunately, she doesn’t fit our lifestyle and we would like an active family who’s able to be patient and work with her. She doesn’t chew on furniture and rarely barks. She could benefit from obedience classes and possibly anxiety medication. She’s a sweet energetic girl who loves people, but most likely won’t do well with other animals in the home.

Story
Hi! My name is Snap and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on September 15th, 2023 because my previous owner did not have time to house train me. I lived in a home with other dogs and young children.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other similar sized dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Hi there! My name is Bear. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home! I weigh 35 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` I`m a little cattle dog with a big personality. Don`t let my small stature fool you, I`ve got spunk! I`m playful and happy, I love being around people and getting treats and pets. I can be a bit sensitive about my tail, back paws and collar area being touched so a family that understands my boundaries would be the best fit. Patience and treats will be key for helping me understand it`s okay when someone touches my collar or feet. Due to my handling sensitivites, I would do best if any children in the home are older and dog savvy. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Alley just turned 12 years old on April 17th, 2019. I've had her since she was 9 weeks old and she has been an amazing companion and friend. She is very loyal and loving. She does not get a long very well with other dogs and gets anxiety around cats. She used to be very active but has gotten a little lazy in her older age. She still loves going for walks, playing fetch and will get in the water (to swim) occasionally. Alley's eye sight is getting a little bad and she has a heart murmur but other than this she is still healthy and happy. She's a little overweight (10 pounds) but I'm sure she could shed some of it if she got out more. I take responsibility for the lack of movement lately, but we recently had a baby and life is very busy. I love Alley very much but she isn't adapting as well to the baby as we hoped. She's been great with all the other kids we have in our life but this adjustment just seems stressful to her. She's never been physically aggressive but we can't risk anything
