Story
Meet the coolest boy Bishop- a 3.5-year-old Blue Heeler- Aussie mix. Bishop is so darn cute but he's more than just his good looks. Bishop’s foster mom said he is smart as can be, house trained, and does magnificently with his leash. Bishop will be your best pal. He is looking for room to run and he’d love another dog to play with! He had gotten into some trouble with the rescue due to his herding and protectiveness, but is now in foster care and doing great. If you know heelers, you’ll know his nipping is trainable and get his need for a job and exercise. Bishop is such a great dog that just needs a job, even if that job is toys! This Bish would do best in a home with no small children, he is respectful with other dogs, Bishop is interested in cats, but could be with confident with cats who would handle his playful nature the best! Bishop weighs approximately 60 pounds, and has a lot of great qualities. He can be left at home alone without doing any damage. Bishop also takes correction well from other dogs, and gets along quite well with them. He walks well on leash, knows a lot of commands, and is overall very smart! While at the shelter he has had several nips in his history. Only two of them broke skin and those were both strangers that approached him while he was on a walk while his owner was not aware they were approaching. For this reason, he can’t live in the Seattle city limits. Bishop needs a lot of mental stimulation! He’d be a great candidate for agility, fly ball or frisbee competition. Bishop will settle in well in your home while you are working, and sleeps well through the night. Bishop would love someone who would do continued training and who understood his high energy heeler-aussie breed(s)! Bishop will do best with teenagers who can keep him entertained. To meet this amazing boy or for questions, Contact foster mom Kim at kimreno66@gmail.com to apply and to hear more of Bishop’s praises!

Story
Hi, my name is Gayle and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Apr 03, 2023. I can be a bit of an introverted pup. I like having my own space at times and prefer quiet time with my person or people compared to big social gatherings. I have a lot of love to give, you just have to give me a little bit of time to show it all to you!

Story
Hi! My name is DK and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on September 13, 2023.I weigh 51.5 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I haven`t shown too much interest in treats or toys while at RASKC. My caregivers mention that I`m all about the people and not materialistic :)My caregivers also mention that I appear to be potty-trained!I can be shy at first, but I warm up quickly and then show my energetic side. I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. Due to that face I would do best in a home with older children. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Alita is an Australian Cattle Dog Mix who’s about 2 years old. Unfortunately, she doesn’t fit our lifestyle and we would like an active family who’s able to be patient and work with her. She doesn’t chew on furniture and rarely barks. She could benefit from obedience classes and possibly anxiety medication. She’s a sweet energetic girl who loves people, but most likely won’t do well with other animals in the home.

Story
Meet adorable Aila! She is super sweet, extremely playful and such a friendly 3-year-old. Aila has the cutest ears! Her ear tips flip over backwards - just too darn cute!! Aila can be a little uncertain about new things, but she soon figures things out and gets comfortable. She loves to learn new things, especially if treats are involved. Aila will need a home without cats and she’d love another dog to play with and boost her confidence. Aila needs an adopter who works from home or is a stay home mom or not gone for long hours. She loves attention and needs another canine or human around her. Aila was rescued from South Korea by Greyhound Pets Inc in Woodinville and they are so happy they did! Aila loves her daily walks with the volunteers and she’d love to be your exercise partner. Aila rides well in a vehicle, and walks well on leash. She is vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed.
