Pepper is a gentle and loving dog. We call her Chill Dog because she just does not gt rattled. Pepper loves to play and likes to be close to people. She sleeps at the end of the bed or in the hall just outside the door. Pepper likes to run but also to lay down in the yard and soak up the rays. She is very good at being left at home while we work and go to school.

Story
I've had Lila since she was 5 weeks old and she truly has been the love of my life. She is loyal, sweet, and so playful. I'm looking for a loving, patient, and active new family with land for her to run or at least a decent yard. Lila is a 7 year old Australian shepherd/ border collie mix and so she has a ton of energy so she'd do very well with someone as active as her. She loves hiking and runs especially. She is also not very good around little kids. Although she may be a bit protective, she is a very loving and loyal dog. She's probably one of the best cuddlers around! We love her very much, we just don't have the space to take care of her and she is no longer welcome at our apartments. With the proper time, attention, and training she'd be the perfect companion for someone. I wish it could be me, however, my financial circumstances don't allow me the time to keep her and find another living situation where she's allowed.

Story
We adopted Toffee from the Humane Society in February. He's an older fun loving dog that just wants to play and hang out with his humans. He's tentative around men, but has completely bonded with me (Chris). He does not like cats or any other animal smaller than him. We have two other cats and thought he would eventually warm up to them and has not. He has some behavioral needs that we have tried to work with him on. New people need to be introduced in a slow manner, but he typically warms up to most people. The thing Toffee needs the most is a home where he is the only animal or there are other dogs his size and where he has owners that can read his comfort level. He looks like a Golden Retriever, but is the size of an Australian Shepard. He only likes to be petted on his head, neck, or back. He loves treats, reacts to the "Leave it" command, and will occasionally be found chasing his tail. Walks are his favorite and he likes chasing the ball, but hasn't quite learned what drop means.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hello! My name is Cosette and I'm a long time resident of the Corridor. I was finally rescued in Spring 2019 and it is SO much better than life on the streets. I'm a pretty easy girl to please. I like to roll in the grass and take it easy. I do have some arthritis and now that I'm on medicine for it, I'm feeling much more peppy! I can be playful, but for the most part, I just hang out. I also really like attention. After not having any for so many years, I think you'll understand why. If you have a patch of grass, a cozy bed and a nice warm lap, I'd love to meet you! Maybe we'd be a match made in heaven! In addition to arthritis, Cosette also has hypothyroidism. Both are currently well controlled with medication. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Tater

Australian Shepherd Cattle Dog

Male, Adult
Seattle, WA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Animal Profile: Tater is a 5.5 year old male mixed breed -- Australian Shepherd Cattle Dog mix (best guess) -- weighing approximately 58 lbs though he's overweight. He was adopted as a puppy but sadly his current owner has a 7-month-old baby and another dog and due to Tater's needs, we are working to find him a new home. Tater is a happy boy who loves meeting new people, loves to fetch and would thrive having a job. He lives with another dog but they have occasional fights (no vet care required) and given the new baby in the house, Tater needs a new home. After evaluation, we believe Tater's issues are likely exacerbated by lack of activity or "having a job" -- he would thrive with space to run and a family to call his own. Tater is 100% crate trained and house trained and knows basic obedience. He's food motivated and eager to please. Though he is leash reactive in the city he may do well with other animals off leash and with more exercise. As a bonus, this boy has the softest fur ever! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $200. This includes his neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, and health evaluation. Your donation fee may be tax-deductible. Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.
