Story
Animal Profile: Tater is a 5.5 year old male mixed breed -- Australian Shepherd Cattle Dog mix (best guess) -- weighing approximately 58 lbs though he's overweight. He was adopted as a puppy but sadly his current owner has a 7-month-old baby and another dog and due to Tater's needs, we are working to find him a new home. Tater is a happy boy who loves meeting new people, loves to fetch and would thrive having a job. He lives with another dog but they have occasional fights (no vet care required) and given the new baby in the house, Tater needs a new home. After evaluation, we believe Tater's issues are likely exacerbated by lack of activity or "having a job" -- he would thrive with space to run and a family to call his own. Tater is 100% crate trained and house trained and knows basic obedience. He's food motivated and eager to please. Though he is leash reactive in the city he may do well with other animals off leash and with more exercise. As a bonus, this boy has the softest fur ever! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $200. This includes his neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, and health evaluation. Your donation fee may be tax-deductible. Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hello! My name is Cosette and I'm a long time resident of the Corridor. I was finally rescued in Spring 2019 and it is SO much better than life on the streets. I'm a pretty easy girl to please. I like to roll in the grass and take it easy. I do have some arthritis and now that I'm on medicine for it, I'm feeling much more peppy! I can be playful, but for the most part, I just hang out. I also really like attention. After not having any for so many years, I think you'll understand why. If you have a patch of grass, a cozy bed and a nice warm lap, I'd love to meet you! Maybe we'd be a match made in heaven! In addition to arthritis, Cosette also has hypothyroidism. Both are currently well controlled with medication. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
Meet beautiful Chloe! We love this girl and she really needs an awesome home with a yard and a loving family.  She is 7 and very full of life and love. She loves to go for walks and sniff the great outdoors. She likes any kind of walk and if you run or hike, she would dig that, too! She loves her people and is eager to bond. Chloe loves kids. She adores snuggling and snoozing and loves to hang out with you. Such a cute sidekick. Chloe would love to keep learning. She is smart and picks up new commands easily. She will alert bark which can be a good thing. Chloe will come with a trainer to help her feel confident when she sees other dogs on walks and learn to play well. She has not been given opportunities to become social with dogs. She does chase cats, so we suggest a no-feline home.   This precious girl is now updated on all shots and spayed. Her adopt fee is $295.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

Story
DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET REQUIREMENTS : - Herding experienced home. - Fenced yard, Scout is not an apartment dog. - Another young playful dog in the home, preferably a female. Scout is a 2 year old, 40lb Aussie mix. He is soft, sweet and highly intelligent. Scout is good with other dogs, loves to snuggle and is equally excited about being in the great outdoors hiking or snowshoeing with you! Scout is eager to learn and is looking for an experienced family that will work on training and structure with him. Scout requires a calm home that is structured with lots of dog experience (herding dog experience needed) and time to give him the guidance he needs. He will nip and herd if he does not have proper leadership. He would do best with another dog and needs a fenced yard. He can require up to 2 hours a day for exercise. Kids over 10 with some exposure to herding dogs. Scout is not recommended with cats because he's a herding dog and has no previous experience with cats. Scout is UTD on his shots, neutered and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
We adopted Toffee from the Humane Society in February. He's an older fun loving dog that just wants to play and hang out with his humans. He's tentative around men, but has completely bonded with me (Chris). He does not like cats or any other animal smaller than him. We have two other cats and thought he would eventually warm up to them and has not. He has some behavioral needs that we have tried to work with him on. New people need to be introduced in a slow manner, but he typically warms up to most people. The thing Toffee needs the most is a home where he is the only animal or there are other dogs his size and where he has owners that can read his comfort level. He looks like a Golden Retriever, but is the size of an Australian Shepard. He only likes to be petted on his head, neck, or back. He loves treats, reacts to the "Leave it" command, and will occasionally be found chasing his tail. Walks are his favorite and he likes chasing the ball, but hasn't quite learned what drop means.

Story
RB is a 10 year old Mini Aussie, who is seriously the light of our lives. He isn’t your typical high energy aussie, he is much more laid back and docile. But he also loves car rides, hiking, camping, boating etc. As long as he is with his people and not around strangers/big groups of people he is an absolute doll. He loves other dogs as long as they are not aggressive. He often plays the submissive role with other dogs and is humorously afraid of cats! RBs aussie shows in his protective nature however. And he has had incidents of fear aggression and biting. We are seeking a home for him with no children/grandchildren. For a single person or a couple that have some land for him to run on. People who don’t travel too often and don’t host/entertain at their house and don’t have a lot of visitors. RB needs to have a fenced yard and a kennel to put him away in if company is coming by. Our hearts break that we need to rehome him as we start a family of our own.

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Hello! My name is Kensington Layne! I’m a 5yrs old Border Collie mix! I love to cuddle. Go on walks and play with other doggo’s. I don’t really like cats though...they are too sneaky. I like older kids, but I’ve never met a baby or a toddler. Going for rides in my foster daddy’s truck is fun too! I have all my vaccinations and I’ve been spayed. I’m just waiting to find my fur-ever home!

Story
Cowy is a loving, friendly dog who is happiest getting her belly rubbed. Her favorite thing to do is to climb into your lap and give huge sloppy kisses!! She gets along wonderfully with her doggie roommates but is a bit apprehensive when meeting larger dogs but warms up after gaining confidence. Cowy has a lot of playful energy and would make a wonderful dog in an active home. NOTE: In many cases, these dogs are located in La Paz, BCS, Mexico in foster homes. We transport them to their adopted homes via air transport with a volunteer.
