Story
Jester is a special pup I fell in love with at the Humane Society, he is almost 4 years old now but I got him when he was around 10 months old. My partner and I are relocating for schooling opportunities and could not find a housing option that accepts dogs, especially a bigger dog like him. He has been staying with family, but isn’t getting much attention or the care he needs. When I first brought him home he had food aggression and didn't want his head touched at all. He is much more outgoing and trusting now, and I don't have any issues with feeding him now. He has never been fond of other dogs, I don't know anyone with a dog so I haven't been able to gently expose him to that. He was a stray from what I was told and gets anxious with other pets. He is goofy, smart, loving, and a bit sassy. He doesn’t really ever bark, he enjoys sitting on the porch and watching the birds and maybe follow you around while doing chores!

Story
Ray is a 3 year old 60 lb Shepherd Beagle mix. Currently Ray is on a few week trial run, we aren't sure for sure so you can inquire and keep in touch. He is tan black and white. He has been living with a young man for two years that lost his job. He is house trained, leash trained. He loves sleeping in your bed and hanging out with his human. He has basic training. He does have anxiety when he sees other dogs, so he will require more dog socialization. He should begin in a home for sure w/o any other dogs. He is interested in lazy house cats, but pretty much avoids them. He will need an active home with a secure fence where he can get daily walks/hikes and to lose about 10 lbs. No kids under 12 years old. for now, as he is anxious with kids and has not been around them for two years. Taking applications from serious applicants. All adopted pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com . Story
Rocky is a sweet, beautiful, two and a half year-old Aussie. He is an excellent companion. His true nature is happy-go-lucky, playful and simply magnificent! Rocky knows the commands sit, stay, come, leave it and heel. He is also good with other dogs and horses. At his last foster home, he relished his job of turning out the horses. He does not climb or jump fences and is not a digger. He's an all around good sport. Daily physical exercise is key to the herding breeds being very balanced dogs. Rocky is a good natured dog and while he appears confident and friendly, he has a shy, laid back side. Rocky will do well with an owner who will take the lead and be a good pack leader. When new people are meeting Rocky, it’s important to give him time to check them out and not rush him with excitement. He, like most other dogs, needs to trust the new person in a leadership roll of respect. Then he can be called over and petted. Once the two of you get to know each other you will be best friends. Rocky can be distracted and will probably need occasional reminders with his recall. He has a tendency to ignore the "come” command especially if there is something more interesting out there that looks or smells good. He is reactive to fireworks and gun shots and needs to be in a safe place when all the noise starts. He is not an apartment dog and not one to be crated for 8 hours. He is young, active and needs a fenced yard. Rocky’s Second Chance Dogs’ team is looking for someone who is patient and will diligently oversee Rocky’s very telling body-language. His “comfort” timing is key when meeting new dogs and/or people. He actually warms up pretty darn quickly when the step-by-step progress is respected. Rocky puts heart-felt energy into being comfortable with others. Once the introductions are solid, let the fun and frolic begin! If you are interested in meeting/adopting Rocky, please complete an online application at our website, secondchancedogs.net. Adoption donation is $250, of which a portion is tax deductible. All donations are funneled back into the rescue for the care of the dogs.
