Story
Jake IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-05-2020).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Jake, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21482&name=JakeJake came to Coastal and was feral, because he was used as a breeding dog and wasn&#39t socialized with people at all. His prior owners kept him in the bathroom and when they decided to move they didn&#39t include him in their plans. Understandably, when we got him he wanted absolutely nothing to do with people, but he&#39s come around with the people he sees every day and is phenomenal with other dogs. We&#39re still working on leashing him and taking him for walks- when things go around his neck he gets very upset and starts alligator rolling. So, as of now, he&#39s in a doggy daycare setting where he can be with other dogs, but has only befriended a handful of people. With time and some patience, Jake, who is around 3 years old, will be a great addition to a low traffic household. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

Story
Meet Wintry! She is a Beagle mix and we think she is about 2 years old. Wintry came to Labs and More pregnant where she delivered her adorable puppies and was a good little mama to them. Her pups have been adopted and Wintry is ready for a forever home of her own. Wintry is a special girl who survived Distemper. She twitches, bobs her head as if dancing to a music only she can hear, and can be a little uncoordinated at times. It doesn't slow her down too much and she can keep up with her people just fine. In spite of her rough beginnings, this little girl's tail is always wagging and she has a positive, happy attitude about almost everything. Wintry is a lower energy girl. She enjoys a daily stroll around the neighborhood followed by lots of cuddle time. Wintry loves people, bonds easily and gets very attached. Little children make her a bit uncomfortable so Winnie would prefer a quiet, adult only home where she can be the center of attention. This girl is all about her humans and loves to give you big hugs when you get home. She is way more interested in people than other dogs and can be a bit of a diva when it comes to dogs all up in her personal space. She likes all the attention for herself and will need to be the only dog in her forever home. She is not interested in playing with other dogs and is not a dog park kind of girl. She does get along with cats, ignoring them. Wintry is house trained, crate trained and has good house manners. She doesn't like to be left home alone long and will need a family where someone is home more often than not. She would love someone who works from home or can take her to work with them! True to her Beagle breed, Wintry loves food and is very treat motivated. She knows &#194&#147sit&#194&#148, &#194&#147shake&#194&#148, and she has great recall. If you are interested in meeting Wintry and giving her a home for the holidays, please submit an adoption application on our website. This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Story
Paisley is a full breed beagle who is 7.5 years old. Recently she has gone completely blind and has coped quite well. She is sweet but timid. We are not able to be with her due to our full time work schedules and feel she would do best with a family who has a stay at home parent and or a couple or person who is retired to be able to give her the care and attention she needs and deserves. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Story
Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.Randy was rescued in february from the streets of Ensenada by a good sam when he noticed him zig zagging through traffic. He had skin mites and skin infections but is now looking pretty great. He is likely a small to medium breed who will grow to be in the 25-35 lb range when full grown. He is a sweet little guy who is good with cats, dog and people, he was fostered in baja and is now in san diego but is not getting sterilzied until mid april at which point he can be adopted, although we would love to have him in a foster to adopt home until that surgery day and can then finalize his adoption. To meet him please submit a dog adoption application online at arwob.org Don't wait...Submit an adoption application today!    DOG ADOPTION APPLICATIONVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
