We adopted our cat late 2018. He was a playful, cute kitten then. He turned one at the beginning of May. He is still playful and snuggly. He takes a lot from our young boys! He likes to try to sneak outside, but he is an indoor cat. He likes to look out the window and play with non-cat toys, like a crayon or an Easter egg. The reason we are looking to re-home is because my parents who visit often are proving to be allergic. And I have found Yuri in my baby’s crib a few times while the baby is sleeping.

- Very playful and especially loves toy mice and string toys - Likes being petted once she knows you - Not a fan of being picked up and held - Likes comfy spots and quiet environments - Has done well with other cats - Is curious about gentle dogs - Likes to take things very slow, so plan on giving her plenty of time to settle in This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life! This cat is participating in our Camp Purr barn cat program, which is designed for feral or very semi-feral cats that would be happiest living outside as barn cats. Adopters must provide shelter and food/water to these cats year round and need to be willing to work with our Camp Purr team to ensure these cats are acclimated appropriately and humanely to a new barn cat environment. Because these cats are familiar with the other cats they are living with currently, we require that all Camp Purr cats be adopted with at least one other Camp Purr cat.
