ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet little Hola!  Hola is a very sweet and affectionate boy.  Hola weighs around 10 lbs and is 13 years young.  This little guy was a Second Chance dog from 2009.  His owner became ill and could no longer care for him & he found himself back in the scary shelter.  Luckily he was microchipped and the shelter contacted us to reclaim sweet Hola.   Hola is house and crate trained and walks great on a leash.  He is initially shy and takes a little time to warm up to new people.  Once he feels safe & comfortable he is the ultimate lap dog & will follow you around the house like a shadow.  Hola is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines.  When he came back to us a second time around, we got him a fresh dental cleaning and cherry eye repair surgery   Hola has a heart condition and is on long term medication & needs a special senior diet.  Hola is now ready again for his new FURever family!  His adoption fee is $200 which helps the rescue cover medical expenses and supplies.   Due to his age and size Hola would do best in a quiet household with no small children.  All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.

Kale is an energetic 7 lb, 7 year old Miniature Pinscher mix. Kale is a spunky little fella that likes to hang out with his foster parents more than the other animals of the house. He does well with both men & women, but LOVES his foster dad in particular the most. Kale enjoys going on long walks to explore the neighborhood or can be found sunbathing in the window taking a nap. Kale coexists fine with the other dog in his foster home & even the cat. He does okay with new dogs after a proper introduction, but is not interested in playing with other dogs or toys.  Kale will need some time, love and patience to work on his household manners when transitioning into a new home. Once Kale feels secure in the home he is an absolute love bug.  Please submit an application to meet Kale, he is good for your heart! His adoption fee is $300.
