Story
Khufu is a calm affectionate senior, thought to be around 9 years old. When not being an absolute cuddle monkey, she loves going on long walks to sniff the neighborhood. She is happy with her leash and collar but we are working to get her comfortable with her new harness as well. Khufu came to her foster family a bit pudgy but she is quickly losing weight with her new diet and a fitness routine of three walks a day. She loves humans but was never properly socialized with other animals so a single pet home is ideal; possibly she could live with extremely well-behaved socialized dogs. My favorite part of this little lover’s personality is the delighted squealy piggy noises she makes when someone she knows comes over for a visit.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Rucca and I'm a pretty one year old GSD who was transferred to FRGSR after being surrendered by my former family, because they said I was too much dog for them. My family reported that I spent my days outside and nights inside, and my house training needs some work. I am  selective about my dog friends, but I did well with their cats and kids. They said I did very well with vet visits. I know a few commands, but I could use some continued work in this area. They also said I have a habit of chasing my tail, so I'll need to be redirected when I do this. I'm hoping to find an active family who will work with me and take me on lots of outdoor adventures. My adoption fee is $350, and if you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org to submit an online application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available. We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Beau, and I'm a handsome 10 month old GSD who was surrendered to FRGSR by my former owner, because she reported that the other male dog in the house and I weren't getting along.  On a brighter note, she said I did great with her 9 year old son and I was a very affectionate goofball. I'm  house trained and crate trained. My ears kind of have a mind of their own depending on which way the wind is blowing, which gives me several different GQ looks! The volunteers with FRGSR have found that I'm a happy, friendly boy who loves to chase a ball and they will take their time introducing me to other dogs. However, thus far, they've noticed that I've appeared to be really reserved around other dogs, both male and female. Given my young age, the volunteers hope to teach me how to behave appropriately with other dogs. More info to come as I settle in. My adoption fee is $350 and if you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org to submit an online application. Update: The my foster mom has observed that I've done well on leash with other dogs who have an even temperament, but I can be reactive around intense dogs who get right up in my face, and I won't back down. My adopter will need to continue to work with me on this.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Sassy May, and I'm a very pretty, almost two year old GSD who was surrendered because I wasn't getting along with the other female dog in the house, and I drew the short straw. According to my prior owner, I enjoy playing with male dogs and I even like little dogs. Also, I could live in a home with kids who've been taught how to be respectful of dogs. More info to come as I settle in. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit your online application. My adoption fee is $350. Update: In my most recent home, my former owner reported that I was fine going on walks, in the elevator, etc, but I was very territorial inside my home with the other dog, so I may do best as an only dog. I'm super affectionate with people and very playful. I am not dog park material, but would love to go hiking or on long walks with my new owner.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
