Story
Brody is an 8 year old Golden Lab/Retriever mix. He was adopted from a rescue agency 7 years ago. He is loving and affectionate. However, Brody was likely abused as a puppy. He is highly anxious and is on medications. He currently lives in a condo building and doesn't get as much exercise as he needs. I'm retired and am unable to walk him they way we used to. I do have another dog with whom he gets along well. He is very attached to me and seems to do better with women. His biggest anxiety is around other small animals (dogs, cats), scooters and skate boards. For that reason, he's distractible when walking and needs a lot of discipline. He is becoming too strong and difficult for me to feel safe in handling. He would not be suitable around small children, since they can be impulsive and unpredictable.

Story
Meet Aquarius AC Trick or Treat. How about both? And I am not talking ‘bout Howloweenie. Me and my Mommy and all my siblings were living at a gas station. I didn’t know it at the time, but ‘upposedly, living at a gas station is very sad. Some sneaky, but well meaning, ladies set up a cage and put treats in there. My Mommy was trapped first, then they had to collect all of us babies. My Mommy is a fluffy red dog with super puffy cheeks named Nutmeg, she weighs 35 pounds a Sharpei/Chow mix. My Father might have been a yellow Labrador because that is what I most favor. I am shaping up to likely be bigger than my Mommy, maybe 40 pounds. I am a boy doggie and a strawberry muffin with my berry pretty strawberry blonde coat. The volunteer says I am a real hunk muffin. I don’t know about all that *blushes a little*. At my Foster House I hang out with 3 older big dogs, a 30 pound dog and my sister Libra. I am submissive and playful with them. Sometimes I bark at other dogs, it just depends on how they look at me and the vibe I feel, but most of the time, I like them. I like to be one of the dogs and do activities with dogs. I always follow the lead of my pack mates. I like pack walks and runs on a leash, a tight leash! Due to my scared feelings, I would do best with older kids, not small kids that might scare me back into my shell. I love being in my crate, I feel safe in there. I am pretty much potty trained. I might do a scared tinkle on occasion, but not too often. I am making HUGE strides with my scared feelings and learning to be more outgoing and comfortable every day. You can’t really be scared of humans because they know where the food is. And I like food. I even hang out by my Foster Mom’s feets sometimes and get excited when she has a toy. I like toys. I like my Foster Mom better than my Foster Dad. I am making faster progress coming out of my shell because I am food muttivated. I am not afraid to beg! I will even take food from complete strangers. When Foster Mom is cooking, I will stand up on my hind legs and do a really cute face. Heck, I might be shy, but I am not stupid, I know this cute face will get me a yummy nibble. I love human food sooooo much, sometimes I try to steal it right off Foster Mom’s fork. Ha ha, she says that isn’t nice, but lets me get away with it, for progress sake. All in the name of progress. Food isn’t the only thing I chew on. I love to chew on toys or other items. If anything is near my crate, I will chew it. Sometimes my Foster Mom catches my sister red handed or red pawed as she grabs an item for us to nibble on. I do join in on nibbling stuff with my sister, cuz I am a team player and a good brother, not a bad boy. If Foster Mom says “stop chewing” I usually stop. Usually. I like outdoor time. I run the fence to chase and bork at squirrellssssss. Sometimes I run the fence to bork at the neighbor’s dog, it is a no no no. But it feels fun fun fun. I am looking for a home with lots of patience, pepperonis and perhaps another dog that can help me continue my work on my confidence level. Do you want to be that person with the pepperonis? GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our puppies are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Story
Looking to rehome an approximate 4 year old female Beagle/Hound mix. She has not been fixed. She’s a loyal dog that loves to cuddle and play but unfortunately does not do well with small children. I have a 4 year old autistic daughter and Pearl has become extremely aggressive towards her.

Story
Interview with Gabby JuM IF YOU WERE AN ACTRESS WHICH ONE WOULD YOU BE? I am incredibly lady like in my gestures and temperament, so I liken myself to Grace Kelly, none of these modern day actresses can really hold a candle to her. Speaking of holding, that reminds me that I would even say “I need to go powder my nose”, instead of “I need to take a pee”. I would never do a faux paw. I have four real paws, no faux paws about me! WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY? People spending time with me. I mean treats are good too, I won’t say no to one that is offered, but I really have a hunger for love and cuddles. WHAT MAKES YOU SAD? Pokey stuff like needles. No thanks. And not being with people. Also, all the missing Tupperware lids, I wonder if their bottoms miss them. WHAT ARE YOUR LIKES? I like dogs and people. I like to play and romp in the yard, but in a calm mannerly way. I would be just as happy as a clam at a birthday party to feign a faint on a chaise lounge chair to relax after a stroll around the block. I do not pull on the leash either, you are welcome for that. DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS? Gentle, non-borker, non-jumper. Technicabley that is 6 words, but I hyphenated to make it work. WHAT IS YOUR AGE BREED AND WEIGHT? I am 4 years old and weigh 35 pounds at intake, but I should fill out to 45 pounds, a nice solid mediyum. Mediyum, that is a fun word. WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL HOME? Whether you are a one horse town or a full on rainbow unicorn carousel town, I will adjust. I will just be so happy to finally get all the proper love and care that the Volunteers keep gabbing about to me. They say really nice people keep their doggies inside and never yell and always provide fresh water and food and remind you that you are good good girl on a daily basis. That sounds a little unbelieveable, but I am trusting it is true! Please adopt me if you can hold up the bargain. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Story
Meet Foxie JuM Name: My name is Foxie for my fox like ears. But I most resemble a meerkat in coloring and expression and stamina and stature, but no self-respecting dog wants to be labeled after a kat, so I chose fox due to it being my canine cousin and all. Personality: If I were a toy, I would be a cat’s laser pointer, because I am bouncey and all over the place. I love to run and play. But I will stop for hotdogs and hugs. Could Use Some Work On: When I first got to the rescue the volunteer said “she could use some practice on leash walking ability”, but honestly, I don’t think she got the objective of the game. I pull and lead and the human follows along. Convince me I am wrong. Is this not how it works? What is the problemo? I see none. But that my friends was a bad attitude. After weeks of practice I now can walk on a leash, almost properly, but I do get excited initially. Cutest Move: My ear perks are on point. Favorite Exercise: Stomach crunches! I want some crunchy stuffs in my stomach. I don’t really get how stomach crunchs are an exercise, seems like putting crunchy stuffs in your tummy would be the oppawsite of exercise. Doggitude: I love playing with people but could use a little manners with my jumps. I prefer a playful male dog over the serious female types. I also tend to start off kinda pushy so that I don’t look like a pushyover and not all dogs dig that either, especially the other pushy girls. I would do best with a male playmate in a home if your female is equally bossy. Age/Weight/Breed: I almost forgot the important stats. I am 2 years old and 30-40 pounds. I was listed at the shelter as a Shepherd/Husky mix, but the volunteers find that questionable and feel I most resemble and act like a Shiba Inu. So I am rolling with that. Do you wanna roll with me? Basics: Foxie JuM- female, 2 years, 30-40 lbs, Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix, tan/brown, active, good with dogs, could use some manners like practice leash walking, does better with playful male dogs, sometimes too pushy with other pushy females, really loves to play with people and is quite active and cute. Story
Meet Silky JuM The humans named me Silky and that was really sweet considering Wrinkly could have been a contender. I looked like a 3 year old toddler playing dress up in his Father’s khakis when I was first found. A pile of chestnut wrinkles covering a skeletal frame. A basketball with the air let out. I was litterally skin and bones. I found a local restaurant to hang outside of and beg for scraps. Please sir, do you have anymore??? I was so adorable and pathetick at the same time. One person did me one better and took me to a Foster Home so I could fatten up in style. I am quite enjoying being cared for in such a kind manner. I am a female Shar Pei doggie about 4 years old and 60 pounds now. I have impeccable manners, no jumping, no arfing, and I walk smoothly on a leash, oh the irony of being smooth is so many ways. I adore humans, get along fine with dogs and even know not to bother the cats other than the requisite booty sniff. You will have to wait about a month before I can move in with you, till March or so. I tested positive for Erlichia. That sounds fun right? Positive is a good word right? Erlichia…sounds like “I lick ya”. Sound good right? Nope, that is a disease spread by ticks. Yuck. I am on some medicines called anti bioticks, the anti tick meds, for a month to clear up this tick borne nonscents. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter.
