Story
Carey Grant is one handsome Boxer mix boy that is about 6 years old and weighs 60 pounds.  This love of a dog was in a shelter in Nashville, TN but no one goes there to adopt much at all.  This boy was definitely worth the save.  He actually acts like a 2-3 year old dog as he loves to run circles in the yard when he gets excited.  He is doing well with his leash waling and will even carry it to the door for you when he knows he is going outside!  What a smart boy!  Grant will do best as the only dog in the house as he becomes very attached to his owner.  He loves to hike the trails with his foster dad and loves the outdoors.  Grant is great home alone for a few hours and also is good in a crate if you are gone for the day at work.  He is a snuggler and would love someone to lay on the couch with.  He loves his people!  He is pretty good with other dogs but he does take a little time to warm up if they are not laid back like his foster brother Cooper is.  Carey Grant takes it slow and easy in determining if a new dog is going to be his buddy.  He will chase cats so let’s not move him in to a house with any.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Dory is a happy, smiling faced little girl that we think is a Cattle Dog/Bulldog mix that weighs 40 pounds and is only 18 months old.   She was sadly found abandoned with a bag of dog food on a rural country road in a small town in Tennessee.  She comes up to your knees and  is just the right size - not too big, not too little and ready to have some fun playing with you. She was taken in and spayed, and grew up a little, but we found she was just pushy and too much energy for the older siblings at the foster home. Sometimes the young whipper snapper dogs can do that and it creates a bit of a problem in the pack of dogs at the house. She does well with inside cats and with horses, but wants to be top dog with the dogs.   Maybe she just needs to be an only-dog. Like all dogs, she thrives on&#226&#128&#139 consistency. If you let her sleep with you once, she'll expect it every time. She responds well to training, although sometimes she'd like to be the one training you. She loves to be loved on and told how pretty and sweet she is.  She is ready to find that perfect family or person to share her life with.   Could that be you!???   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com We cannot adopt to Mass. residents, sorry.

Story
Sinatra is a handsome blue eyed boy that is about 2-3 years old and weighs 50 pounds of solid muscle.   He was found as a stray in a small town in Rural Tennessee and he is king of the pack at the shelter.   This boy is a Husky/Boxer mix from what we can tell (those blue eyes are Husky breed originals) and he is especially fond of the girl dogs at the shelter.  He is very open and friendly and wags his tail when someone approaches him with a kind word and greeting.  He is not a cat lover from what we can tell but he would love a home with children, a couple who might dote on him, another dog ready to be his forever pal and the chance to show just how smart and loyal he can be!  Would you consider Mr. Sinatra to be your very own? Story
Mitzy Ann is a sensitive soul that is so very sweet at 8 years old and with the intelligence of a purebred German Shepard.  Her dark face and inquisitive eyes are absolutely spectacular!  Once upon a time she had a loving family that gave her away and then she passed through several other hands before landing in a shelter in rural Tennessee.  Through all the different pass along homes and shelter setting, if she had been like most dogs in that situation, she would have taken a long time to trust again, but not Mitzy.  It took her no time to accept her new foster family who quickly got to work getting her rough coat back into shape and all the little rough spots on her skin starting to heal, putting back on much needed weight and a renewed brightness back in her eyes.  Mitzi is very smart, calm, laid back and she settled in quickly to her new foster family routine which is active and fun. She has been such a lovable member of their household!   This girl loves going on car rides and snuggle time on the couch. She is extremely loyal as most German Shepards are and would love to find her own human family again!  She quickly attached to her foster mom, and though she loves playing with and being around the rest of the family she is a one owner type of dog... she watches the window the entire time her foster mom is gone whether or not other people are home!   We could see this girl as a dog with a retired woman that wants a protective force in her home and also a devoted and loving companion. She needs to be an only dog.  She is extremely friendly and loves to go on walks and meet new people.  In a nut shell Mitzy Ann is the most low maintenance girl you could ever want as a canine companion.   She just wants to be with her people and have them give her belly rubs!   She does not like cats (or cows) and will do best in a home without them. She has spent extensive time with dogs in her past, but isn't a huge fan and would prefer one as mellow as she is or a home without any other dogs at all.   She would accept another dog to live with if they were really low key and non-assertive towards her.   Mitzy is housebroken and knows all of her basic commands. She may be older, but she still enjoys playing with her squeaker toys and chasing a ball. She is an easy going, sweet, friendly dog that just wants to have a loving and loyal companion to be her person again!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Little Cheyenne is a sweet Lab mix girl that is petite and only 3 years old and weighs 31 pounds.   This girl with the serious expression had lived in a very desperate and neglected circumstance with over 30 other dogs in a rural area of Tennessee. This girl had several litters of puppies over time and now she is safe and spayed and showing what a loving girl she can be.   She is full of life and energy and loves to give her human mom kisses and hugs.  She is shy at first because as she grew up she knew very few new people in her life.  She is just learning that there is a big world out there for her to come to know. She has made a request to be the only dog. She is smart and treat oriented which makes it easy to teach her things.   This girl is wonderful on a leash, not a big barker and she loves to play fetch.  She is a great size for an apartment dweller and she is crate trained.  Cheyenne has nurtured others in her lifetime and now it is her turn to have a special home where she can nurture just the humans.   She is a special girl…. are you a special new family looking for her?   Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Hi my name is Maxwell -- Max for short.  I am a senior southern gentleman of 13 years and I weigh about 12 lbs.  I have blossomed since coming to my foster home and am now ready to find my forever home.  I arrived a frail little thing with my bones sticking out, my fur in bad shape and I had a mouth full of nasty teeth.  All that is behind me now and I am a happy go lucky boy.  I have several senior buddies in my foster home and we all get along just fine.  It is nice to hang out and relax with them.  However I also love to smell and stroll around our fenced in yard.  I also enjoy going places with my foster mom and making new friends with other dogs and with people.  I am a social guy who does not meet a stranger.  I have learned to walk on a leash and I love to go.  I have also learned when it is time to eat and am a bit demanding when I try to 'patiently' wait for my breakfast or dinner.  It is kinda cute but a little noisy.  I am a very sweet boy who is looking for a forever mom and/or dad that just wants to take care of and love me for the rest of my life.  I come with a lot of love to give you in return.  I am a great little cuddle buddy and would love the opportunity to snuggle with you and watch TV and also snuggle right beside you when it is time to go to bed.  If you are looking for a loyal companion who is on the older side but still has a lot of life to live then you have found him.  My foster mom Miss Dawn and Miss Vivienne will confirm that there is nothing better than the love of a senior shih tzu.  If you have experience with senior dogs especially shih tzus please consider adding me to your family.  I am patiently waiting to hear from you.  Max is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Max is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  Due to state regulations we are unable to adopt to residents of MA and RI.)
