Story
Lily is a very loving , playful dog. She is sweet 2 year old girl who’s wonderful with children and other dogs. She loves to run and play , she’s trustworthy once she gets comfortable with you she’s able to be without a leash , she’s house trained , she loves to try give hugs, she will cuddle on you like a baby , she’s just the best . I’m looking for someone who is open to giving her so much love , she is playful but sometimes gets very shy and nervous so you have to have patience and be kind. She doesn’t like being yelled at she truly shows her emotions. If she does something or feels bad she will get sad and really cry she shows how much she loves you . She’s just the sweetest so you have to be gentle .

Story
We have had Ginger since she was a puppy, she was raised with my middle son since his birth. She is 13 and developing special needs that i am unable to care for due to time away from home and funds. She is becoming deaf and has skin issues (I feel the skin issues may be able to get control with proper vet care). She is house broken (crate trained) and very calm for most JRT. I do not want to take her to the local shelter as they are a kill shelter.

Story
“Kira” is a lovely young brindle American Pit Bull Terrier with a white chest, face stripe and feet, She's an athletic girl who can vault easily over a 4’ fence and climb a 6' chain link fence. She'll need to have 6’ high secure (privacy) fencing for outside exercise, although she could also expend her energy by jogging or running with you. “Kira” has a sweet and affectionate personality, but because of her high energy level and “wicked” tail, we do not necessarily recommend her for a family with small children as that tail is like a whip when you get in the way of its wag. "Kira" gets along with other dogs great, is spayed, heartworm negative, UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. She is crate-trained but can be an escape artist and house-trained. Because of her proclivity toward swallowing inappropriate items, she should be crated when not supervised. Just give her a big bone to chew on, and she's in heaven! “Kira” is a real cuddler and loves to lie next to you while you read or watch TV. She’s also a good traveler. To adopt “Kira,” contact Lois at catwomanlsk@gmail.com for application instructions. Fee, $250.

Story
I got Duchess when she was a puppy. She is a sweet dog. When it comes to dogs she is hit or miss and would probably be better as an only dog. With children she would be better with an older child. One that understands the proper way to treat an animal. Not hitting or grabbing etc... After she gets used to cats she is fine with them. We have 2 atm. With new adults introduce them slow. Don’t have someone new just show up, that wouldn’t be good because she’s protective of her house. The only reason we are looking to rehome is my job is making me move frequently and the past 1 1/2 years has been hard on my family. We’re selling our country home and gonna move into an apartment and move around with my job. She’s not welcome in these places. She’s loved very much

Story
Meet Knox! Knox came to us from another shelter so he could get a new set of eyes on him. He loves to play with other dogs! Once he's comfortable with someone he is a big lover. He takes longer to warm up to men than women and would do best in a home with older or no children. Knox is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Knox please fill out an application at al-van.org/adopt. *Some pet-finding websites aside from our own are very slow to update after an animal is adopted, and this is outside of our control. To see the most up-to-date list of animals available, please go to al-van.org/adopt.*
